  • Will this work? debut Holux M1200E GPS Receiver + GPS data logger

  • @AdrianWoolley85

will this work on iOS 5.0.1 ?

  • @tomdelongepolo I can say from personal experience that it does, I am currently on 5.0.1 and it works, be sure to update to the latest IOS5 compatible version.

  • Susksss! i need my gps from inside my iphone not from inside my pocket. I don't need to fill my pochets with all kind of shits. This is a baseband for ipad not for iphone 3gs. I made a mistake upgrading my 3gs with this IPAD baseband and my gps doesn't work anymore.

  • @EMAILINVERS well you have options, as listed on the website. All will cost, there is no magic and free solution

  • man, why do you guys go through all this trouble? just downgrade to a 4.1+b or 4.2.1, jail break and then back to 4.3.3.... my gps on my iphone 3gs with baseband 06.15.00 and jail broken...

  • @shadeemry gps work?

  • @shadeemry did this work????

  • @kdfc1 Yes, it did just fine,4.1+b, the BETA FW, did not support iPad drivers, hence the iPhone using the default gps driver instead of the iPad one.

Or you just need to make sure that you modify the ipsw to use the default iPhone driver and not the iPad driver. If you don't know how, then i suggest you study some programming/Scripting for UNIX and or Linux. If not, your only choice is to have the base-band chip replaced by a certified Solderer. the chip costs 10 bucks, the solder usually 20.

  • @shadeemry dont work with ultrasn0w

    tried it

I have 6 iphones in front of me

  • @onehandsomemuttha ultrasn0w shouldn't be interfering with it, very strange, did you try getting it to work without ultrasn0w?

  • Doesnt it come with a charger? And does this work with any Holux? Thanks

  • @MyCoolMac of course it comes with a charger, batteries even if rechargeable do not last forever

  • @AdrianWoolley85 OK I bought a 1200E but BTStack GPS (I have the full version) does not push the data to GPS Status or TomTom. What am I doing wrong?

  • @MyCoolMac end up getting it to work? contact the developer?

  • Does this work with any Holux GPS receiver? Why did you recommend the M-241 and the 1200E?

  • @MyCoolMac cause i compared and researched different types based on a set of criteria I deemed to be important. As you can see I have a 1200E, only thing I dislike about it is that it has a built in battery. So I wonder if it is replaceable and wonder how long the battery will last

  • this is to use a external bluetooth gps ?

  • Thanks for the upload! I know it might not be the best solution, but it's a great "in the mean time" option! Works great on my iPhone 3GS 16G 06.15 Baseband 4.3.3 iOS, using DELORME Earthmate GPS BT-20, and TomTom. Bought it for about $45 usd in Mexico..

  • @cesar0684 Nice specs, but it appears you can get it for much cheaper for anyone that is interested GOOGLE "DELORME Earthmate GPS BT-20" and look at the shopping results

  • " Option 6: Wait until the Devteam makes a breakthru Free except maybe sometime"

LOL - YOU ARE KIDDING! THEY'LL NEVER FIX IT, THOSE FUCKING STUPID NERDS!! OMG. WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 6 MONTHS NOW!!!

  • @MazookDK you're stupid. they are making free software and you're complaining..you are the retard that updated his/her iphone and expected an unlock to come up asap.

  • @MazookDK lol u guys are all retarded there may be never another jail break or anything from the dev team didnt u here sony sued for hacking into sony and they took there comps and all there shit we are all fucked

  • do you need the internet? if so then its useless in australia if you have a prepaid plan as prepaid plan is expensive ( i have a phone only for emergencies so a real plan is pointless)

also if i had the net on my phone running i'd just use google maps as its more accurate, so accurate its both great driving AND walking with real time refreshing as you watch the blip move. You can even type the business name or home address

  • @LAHrebirth it is not useless, it just needs to check the licence online. That is like 20kb. But yeah if you are using google maps it has to download the tiles and therefore it will use data.

I agree google maps is awesome for walking, but not so much for driving compared to tomtom

  • @LAHrebirth I would suggest u disable data if it is of concern and use something like tomtom

  • @LAHrebirth PS, you can open up locations from google maps (e.g. business) with a cydia tweak and clicking on a button will open it up in tomtom

  • Does the logger always need to be connected via bluetooth?

  • @roccoownzu2 logger no for GPS tracking. Bluetooth only for downloading and transmitting location to iphone

  • @AdrianWoolley85 So I only do it once so my location is there, and then it will work fine for the rest of the time?

  • I have an Iphone 3g. I use to have firmware 3.0 and my gps was working fine. But then i upgraded to a 4.2 firmware and my gps does not work. Tomtom shows gps signal weak and it doesnt start up. Will this help me fix that issue?

  • @IK407 it would be explore all other options to fix first. e.g. downgrade ios and use the gps status app to find out what is going on

  • Very Very nice!!! but I believe that there are people like me going overseas for vacation and you know, you don't have any phone service, at leastt while you are driving, so how would I get internet connection to check license?? don't tell me wifi! , do you think that you find a starbucks around the corner like in the sates, c'mon man!!

  • @ebalogh just needs to check the licence once on startup. I had this in HK and it worked fine. always had 3G coverage
