@atomikfzr1 the bluecoats bassline are only playing one drum a piece. The guys in this video are switching off between several different tones a piece. Either way, I previously marched with the guy on bass 2 that year, we played cooler splits on the bus than both these vids.

These guys are playing to a track in this video. They are playing the correct notes with the correct beats however they are playing along with a pre recorded track. There are too many inconsistent heights and striking locations on the table to produce that consistent of a sound with the boom whackers.

Just check out some of the their live videos and you will hear what the typical quality a boom whacker produces.

Nice work though. Job well done.

@richardcravensjr bcause they have mics on the table and they use that sound recorded by the mics along with a track without the main part. so they are playing the melody of the boom whackers with background track.. thats why it's louder

It's real. I'm about to record these guys for a CD of classical music. If its not real, I must be hallucinating every time I've seen these guys perform. Every one of the guys is a great percussionist (as well as other instruments). I don't think a hand bell choir could play this piece considering the pace of the tempo and the construction of a hand bell.
