  • LOVE YOU ELVIS!!

  • The last song was "That's Alright Mama" Great music, it changed the world.

  • This was on the first LP I ever saw, bought in UK 1957. The other songs were: Blue Suede Shoes, Tutti Frutti, I got a Woman, I'm left you're Right She's Gone, Shake Rattle and Roll, I'm Counting on You, Mystery Train, One-sided Love Affair, Lawdy Miss Clawdy, Money Honey - and I can't remember the last one. Funny thing, I never saw this exact album again. Probably my all time favourite....

  • First video I see in 2012. :)

  • Elvis before the Army for me, he had the voice, the hair and the look 0:55, and this song was so raw.

  • His music before he was in those carbon copy movies was the best.Never get tired of it

  • Scotty Moores Guitar was so very Important in the early presley material, Elvis had the talent but Scotty's sound made the records Stand Out

  • yeah. awesome.

  • Can anybody tell me if there is or was any singer who can sing this song better than HIS MAJESTY ???? I think NOT !!!! This voice is about the most perfect you may ever hear .

    It's absolutely amazing !

  • @ 1:55 that is an epic picture

  • Elvis at his best ; young and raw ,just letting it go! I think it's my favorite song of his.

  • Brings back wonderful memories of the best entertainer on earth!!!!! I remember this early voice. Loved him then, later and now!!!!!

  • Elvis sounds so young here. More like Eddie Cochrane than the crooner he later became. The Sun Records stuff was just magical.

  • @lrd9999 True, though I think that should be Eddie Cochran sounded like the young Elvis as he mimicked Elvis' vocal style. :)

Anyway, I love his Sun Records stuff, no doubt it was his best, but I don't mind his "crooner" later years either. Have you heard Return to Sender, Devil in Disguise, If I Can Dream, In The Ghetto, Suspicious Minds, etc? IMO his voice was awesome and beautiful all around.

  • @faeriebility With the exception of "If I Can Dream", I concur. The surprising thing about Elvis is that even during his physical decline in the '70s, he could still make some great records. "Burning Love", "Promise Land" and "Way Down" come to mind.

  • Jackie you never cease to amaze me! your last opload was awesome, 11/15/11!

god bless and keep it up! Don

  • i have always thought that the album i have this song on ... "elvis presley" ... was one of the last real elvis albums ... after that his manager turned him into a vegas act ... this song remains as haunting today as it was then ...

this guy was the real deal ...

  • wow the guitar is so cool elvis a very distinctive voice as well

  • Vintage stuff.Excellent at the time and it doesn't diminish in quality with time and like a top quality wines actually improves over the years. You know what its going to sound like but you've just got to play again.

  • I LOVE THIS SO FUCKING BADLY! Damn, I can't believe I ever was the age when I didn't know who he was. He IS the King of RnR!

  • elvis rockabilly king long live his music

  • If it was'nt for the greedy Bastard Tom Parker, Elvis Presley would still be alive, signing him up constantly and most of all grabbing most of the shares in the music industry. Damn if Elvis had the guts to fire parker beforehand like what jerry lee lewis had done, he would still be here today. But past is the past, nothing we can do about it. On the bright side, because of Parker, Elvis has become the king of music.

  • @KingofRockandRoll511 I don't know. Elvis might have been able to fly just as far, if not farther, if he'd had someone else instead of Parker. For one thing, Elvis most certainly would have done better in the field he really wanted to break into - serious drama acting. But because of Parker, he wasted seven years making mediocre Hollywood musicals and songs ("Yoga Is As Yoga Does", UGH).

For me, the bright side is knowing Parker is probably one of the most hated managers in history.

  • Elvis SUN RECORDS era was the BEST!!! Rockabilly KING!!!

  • great photos thanks.

  • Love that solo from the great Scotty Moore...

  • this guy could really sing -he really has a wonderful way --guess why he is the real KING of ALL

  • Easily the greatest popular singer the world has ever known.

  • LONG LIVE ELVIS PRESLEY'S VOICE!!!!!

  • Great stuff from Sun.

  • God given voice.

  • This song should get a lot more recognition than it does. It's definitely one of my favorites of Elvis.

  • This has gotta be one of the BEST songs I have EVER heard. PURE, RAW MUSIC!

  • @elementu2011 Amen!!! Like listening to the birth rock n roll

  • @elementu2011 My opinion: this is the most incredible display of his vocal range of any recording he ever made!

This song is pure RAW talent!

  • What a wide vocal range

  • Did this Elvis song at jtyler5 channel. Check it out...comment on it. Thanks, John Tyler

  • Elvis is COOL!

  • That fuckin hair....

  • OMG has anyone noticed the SCARY Panda bears in 2:21??? Thank goodness E is protecting that little girl!!!

  • lol elvis sounds so young i mean like his voice wasnt as deep, still sexy ;)

  • If I had to chose only one, I guess this'd be it.

  • This song is SMOKIN HOT! I mean you can just cook a steak on it!

  • This is great...haven't heard this tune in a looooong time. How many times over & over I played this as kid, dreaming of playing guitar and having all the chicks drool over me!....lol..... One of fav Elvis tunes.

  • sound like an early beatles song "in spite of all the danger"

  • @lirloveoaramore In spite of all danger is a Mcartney and Harrison song recorde in 1958. Anyway maybe a compass sounds quite similar not the rest

  • He has such a sexy figure... I love his arms omg :3

    And his voice.... Lordddy

  • The pandas at 2:20 look evil

  • sooo amazing!!!! ELVIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY , THE BEST, FOREVER! <3

  • LONG LIVE ELVIS<3

  • A classic EP song. You did an exceptional job with photo selections and presentation. Thanks very much.

  • It's like those times were real and the times today are plastic.

  • @Gwuba That's because they are.

  • Woa. At 1:30 he looks super young! People always called him "son" and "boy" on TV and such, but I never realized how young he truly was. I guess to a 16 year old, 21 is kind of old. =)

  • Jackie, your videos are class ^_^ Great pictures, great music, great subject!

  • What a sexy man :p Oo =)

  • This was the king of rock...not that guy who did schlock vegas shit. This is great great music and the reason ppl rose up and noticed....it wasn't just another white bread crooner.

  • @coyotesong but Elvis in vegas was good too his songs then were soulful n meaningful! Elvis was more matured in vegas so he couldn't turn ou these ealry rock n roll hits like he use to anymore and plus Elvis wanted to do something more matured for his mature audience because that's where he was at the time! He didn't mean to get all schlock or sentimental but this is where he was! So plz understand the reality of Elvis that was the mature Elvis in vegas and not the young 50s Elvis! peace bro :)

  • I think of all the great music out there! Then i think of Elvis, no one beats Elvis <3

  • RAWW ELVIS <3

  • LoL..0:47..Elvis' "Hollywood Twin"..Actor Lee Majors on the Mag.cover.."Elvis got his looks from his mother's side and i got mine from my father's side."

  • Elvis will always be the king

  • amazing

  • it doesn't get any better than this

    Mikey xx

  • Fantastic video to go with a fantastic song done by the Best of the Best! Elvis STILL Rules!!!!

  • Part of Elvis's charm was hillbilly

  • @chucknchar Part of his charm was he was a wonderful down to earth man.never forgot his roots or his fans.elvis never thought he was better than gis fans. That's what makes him the greatest singer of all time.of course looks and a voice help

  • magic

  • wow, I knew Elvis had a wonderful voice, but I've never heard him sing like this !!

  • @picklesloveslight -- Yeah. That was Elvis. The Elvis that shook up the world. Not the emasculated version Col. Tom turned him into after his Army stint.

  • Awesome performance! Scotty's blues guitar fills are perfect as well! Elvis sounds great on this.

  • IM 21 AND THIS GUY IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!! FUCKING SUPURBBB!!!!

  • @cardiffcrewsoul2000 Come on, you know he's better than sliced bread. He's the best thing this world has ever had.

  • @cardiffcrewsoul2000 glad u think, so, I felt the same way when I heard this one, he realy "belts"it out.

  • @cardiffcrewsoul2000 21-year-olds DON'T use the word "superb"... believe me, I am one myself! However, I DO agree with your sentiment. Elvis is FUKIN AWESOME!

  • Wow, what a voice. Elvis is the KING!!!

  • This may have been the 6 SUN single if he had not been sold. I rates right up there with the other 5

  • This song is not rock, it's not country- it's both- only better!

  • wooo hoooooo Baby trying taaa get to you!!!

  • I love this friggin song. :) Long live Elvis! Muah!

  • what is so good about the early Presley stuff is the power of scottys guitar and i sometimes wonder if elvis would have gotten to the early hights without scotty moore..

  • @sunrecords56 Yeah musical history is full of examples where lead guitar players go out on their own to massive success....LOL

  • what is so good about the early Presley stuff is the power of scottys guitar and i sometimes wonder if elvis would have gotten to the early hights without scotty moore..

  • Hard to pick an absolute favorite out of those early King classics, this one's up there though, that's for sure! Way up there!

  • @19chiefs57 the young Elvis is the real Elvis b4 they did wat they did to him in the army turning him into one of their cheap popular imitations. No one can quite imitate or impersonate the young Elvis right! The younger pre-army Elvis is the Truth! The younger pre-army Elvis forever! Bud

Further don't call Elvis the King he was not a king n he didn't like that silly title!

  • He never sounded better. It's mint!

  • @19chiefs57 I had all the rock-a-billy hits on 78s... this was my favorite !

  • great vid hehe :) and great choice of pictures ( i have all of them ^^) thanks for posting!

  • I love all the Elvis Sun stuff - but this may be my favorite. Elvis must have have considered it special, also, as it was a highlight of his '68 comeback special (and a relatively unknown song to many).

  • I love the guitar goo scotty

  • Comment removed

  • no one can sing this like Elvis...RIP

  • One of my favorites. And especially the guitar backing and solo. Sad and poignant. Great song.

  • BEAUTIFUL JOB...GREAT PICS AND EDITING....VERY CLEAR AND FUN TO WATCH

  • great collection of pictures

  • personally i prefer the 1968 live version...heard that first and think that if i had heard this version first i wouldnt like it half as much

  • I like this song !!! I love Elvis KING !!!!

  • Well if I had to do it over, that's exactly what I'd do,, I would travel night and day,

and I'd still run all the way.... I always loved this song...

  • LONG LIVE THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL LOVE THIS SONG REAL RAW REAL BLUSIE

  • Ratings have been disabled yet again, what the hell ???

    You rock Jackie

  • Thanks for these great pics!!!

  • sunrise

  • I've never understood how anyone could not like the Elvis of this period. But in listenning to these early gem Sun recordings, let's not forget Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana and Bill Black. The four of them together were one of the best bands ever.

  • @piemouth1 I really like the whole sound of this record. I think Scotty Moore's razor sharp blues fills really add to the overall effect. Without Elvis things would be a lot different in music. As great as Bill Haley was; it just wouldn't have been the same. Elvis made it possible for Buddy, Eddie, Chuck, the Everlys, etc. Ultimately, he made it possible for the Beatles too.

  • Utterly masterful! How can Elvis make this performance sound so easy to do? Not the cocky arrogance of youth but the sound of a man totally at ease within his skin. Good backing too from Scotty and Bill and the drummer (Bernero?)

  • '68 version was better. Best song elvis ever did and he did a ton of great tunes. Elvis was the embodiment of the life force of the South.

  • @bleed4freedom better... but completely different fm the original 1955 studio recording. It sure sounded great at the time. this is live, Elvis 13 yrs older, live in a comback attempt. (I read that after show when he came back to dressing room, his father was there, and Elvis broke and cried. This "rockabilly" is my favorite of those songs

  • Probably one of the only men that ever existed that didn't need a six pack to have sex appeal. His voice and personality were enough, his looks were a plus :)

  • Nobody was more influential than Elvis :Presley in bringing out this new music ....later to be known as Rock and Roll

  • WONDERFUL vid!

Dear God, how I love the voice of a young, raw 1950's Elvis. I so envy my birth-mom who got to experience all of this as a teenager.

  • @berrygirl964 ...I did experience these songs as a kid but we had no idea that history was being made.....we just loved it and lived it.

  • elvis is truly the king of rock n roll

  • Elvis, babe, you gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous thing.

  • This was one of the great songs from the 50`s that Elvis himself loved so much and it was also part of his 1968 comeback tv special, and he continued to do it in concerts during the 70`s all the way till 1977......He did so many great versions over the years.....I love it.

  • This is cool, but I dig his '68 Comeback version sooooooooooooo much more.

Either way, Elvis Presley is the true King until the end of all time!

  • Totally Great Song.

    Sean Surlow

    San Clemente, California

  • You dont know what your singing does to me Elvis <3

    ...beautifull song...

  • Radio needs to play these songs...show the real man and that talented voice!

  • @lilane4ever amen! ppl dont rly know whos elvis... theyve only heard shit about him!

  • One question:

The songs were recorded but not published, put them on the radio?

Or were saved for the future.

  • Gosh i have chills when i listen to this lovely song!

what a man, what a man ;-) gosh he truly WAS and still IS the king you can compare m.j but it dont matter elvis IS the king forever! <3

  • gorgeous man, gorgeous voice... left us too soon.

  • great song

  • It's a new Elvis tune for me too. And I Love it. . . I wish it had gotten more air time back in the day. But right now I'm glad to know it exists. Cuz, I've been dancing around my office all morning. Yep, I gotta work off those holiday cookies.

  • Thank you for posting!!

  • My favourite Elvis song- for me it has it all. Then again so do many many others...

  • Comment removed

  • Even if Elvis' name had been John he would have still been famous. Elvis has talented that no one can compare. Elvis has a beautiful voice that is easy to listen to. Plus Elvis sings his song with so much emotion. Plus Elvis is a wonderful man. I love Elvis and everything about Elvis.

  • I Kept Travelin Night And Day I Kept Running All The Way Baby Trying To Get To You !!! Elvis Is The Best Every One Else Nowadays All Suck Ass !!!

  • Elvis does deserve respect. Elvis had talent hat cane not be compared to anyone else. Elvis sang every type of music country to rock, etc. Elvis did not focus on just on type. Elvis was also a wonderful man inside. Elvis has a loving caring heart. Elvis loved his family, God and his country the USA. Elvis will not ever be forgotten. I love Elvis with all my heart.

  • Comment removed

  • You live in a sad little uneducated world of over imagination NretReductions !

You might be six foot tall but the fact that you keep saying that and making out that it gives you some kind of importance shows that you have the mind of a baby toad.

Crawl back under your rock slimy ass !

  • Issst guuut, isst El-vs!!!

  • Elvis is incredible

    He's my absolute favorite

  • this is pure gold ... Luv his blue feel and his youthful energy shines thru in this song ... luv all Elvis but this is one of my fav Elvis Songs

  • Hey dixielandrock person! I like your comments on this Elvis song. Trying to get to you is one of my fav's. I particularly love the version from the 68 come back - truely amazing and blows all my other heros of the day away - Beatles, Who etc

By the way I liked your clip of Bono arriving at a wedding! Bono is a gift from the next world.

  • Yea totally agree about 68 comeback

Also huge U2 fan here well what else cud i be being Irish .... caught that clip totally by accident happened to be in Co. Clare heard he was attending wedding so took a chance ... wish i had better camera to catch it ...

Anyway Elvis is King everyone else trails in his shadow

  • i love him!!! elvis was the best and still is!

  • beautiful

  • mmmmm, yeah! just what i needed-thanks!

  • You Can't Hide Your White

Underwear from me at : )

    1:03 / 2:33 Ahhhhhhhhhh!

  • Elvis is the only legend who isn't overhyped (if that's even possible).

The same can't be said for Hendrix, the Beatles, Michael Jackson etc...

  • I agree that he hasn't been over hyped. In fact so much so that its to our detriment as he deserves far more respect and acknowledgement.

I dont think The Beatles were over hyped as they also deserve lots of respect. Michael Jackson certainly was, in fact it makes me sick.

Long live The King - from all his British fans here in the UK.

  • I thought I was the only one who felt that way about Michael Jackson. Joe Jackson whipped those boys silly to perform. I think Billy Preston is/was a lot more talented at dancing, singing and performing- and he wasn't a friggin wierdo.

  • The strange thing i cant understand is this. Elvis very rarely gets air play on radio shows where as the others you mentioned do. Never would you hear a not so well known tune of Elvis" on radio like "Thinking About You" for example ever. So many amzing publicly unknown tunes but never ever get air play.

Elvis only ever seems to be played on anniversaries and its always the same ole tunes. I wonder why the greatest singer that ever lived gets no or very little recognition on radio.

  • @RobIreland : The same is true of the Everly Brothers. That's why I named my channel "Music I Don't hear on the Radio."

At least we are able to find a lot of them on youtube! I would give this one 5 stars, but ratings are disabled. I love the old 50's Elvis music.

  • oneeyedgeek- i know exactly what you mean

  • Whenever I'm feeling a little blue, I just come on yt and start listening to Elvis tunes. Next thing you know I'm singing right along and feeling much better. Thanks again, Jackie!

    5*

  • has anyone heard the headcat cover (lemmy from motorhead)?
