I used snap-traps to kill rats in my attic. I will not glue traps or poison because they are inhumane. I thought this would be a better solution but looks more painful than the snap traps!

Funny I have been using humane traps for over 10 years and I never had a single mouse or rat come back. By the way, I'm using the SAME TRAP. It looks brand new. I don't want to deal with a disgusting dead rat or mouse. I just let the thing go (I live near some woods which is where I dump them). In fact I find it rather amusing to watch them haul ass when I do let them go-ZOOM! GONE!

Yes, but if you live in an apartment block in a city where will you put the rodent? int he hallway? Outside on the sidewalk? In some places rodents are a very unpleasant guest so killing it is 'killing two birds with one stone'.

Well, I never heard of getting electrocuted to death as "instant". Neither are those steel traps. I don't want to deal with a DISGUSTING dead rat or mouse so I use humane traps and I never had a single one come back. Dead rats and mice are DISGUSTING!!!

Why are you so compassionate about disgusting rats?? Did you know rats can carry up to 17 different diseases? Do you want to take a chance handling a nasty ass thing like that? I look at a rat in my garage the same way I look at a robber, it invaded my property so I got the right to protect myself and I will kill the little nasty fucking thing DEAD.

I live near woods, but I use it no more frequency than anybody else. Especially that if you ever have small children around, or pets, poisons and traps are not always the be-all of solutions. Did you know rats are very smart? Suppose you use poison. The rat dies. The rat has a family or group of other rats. They see the dead rat. They SMELL the mouth. And avoid ANY food that smells like that. There is no possibility of this happening with humane traps.

If you have minors around, I worry about using traps and other devices. Even poisons. Kids get into anything and put EVERYTHING into their mouth. Those traps can be dangerous if the kid walks into a rat trap or decides to pick it up. SNAP! There goes a finger or toe. But I guess you never thought about that, did you. By the way, I never had a rat return when released, and if you feel that strongly about killing it, the trap can be immersed in water-but I can't do that.

I've used one of these for mice. Lethal. The only mouse trap that really works IMHO.If you've got a mouse it will definitely kills it. Shame it can only kill one at a time. Using another model I accidently got a shock when adjusting the batteries. A pretty uncomfortable experience - quite a nasty jolt but not lethal for humans - but for a mouse or rat I can see why its deadly.

The inside is the same metal that the back grid part you can see in the video is made of. It isn't teflon, but I have never had any issues removing the rodent. It slides right out. If over time it gets dirty, just clean it with a cotton ball and some isopropyl(rubbing) alcohol.

That's a good question, and I should have addressed it in the video. All you need to do is clean the metal contact surfaces with isopropyl alcohol(common rubbing alcohol). Then it's ready to go again. Make sure it's off of course, or you may be shocked at the outcome.
