Ok, thankyou, do you know how long it would roughly last me, basically I don't do airsoft really often but would like to have a good sniper which doesn't cost me loads. Thanks for your help phantom!
It should last several thousand shots before the sears need replacing (no longer cocks). Remember to lightly grease the spring/guide and inside of the cyclinder. Do not grease the piston or cylinder head. Silicone lube the rubber o ring. Use abit more grease on the outside of the cyclinder to aid cocking action.
@phantomTMA Hi Phantom, I'd like to buy a TM VSR10, what upgrades are recommended which don't stretch the budget for it to be firing at 450fps with 0.2g accurately.. Thanks
@Milesy1818 Buy a 130 spring (the original sears should last a while) and a spring guide with piston would be sensible (the original ones are only nylon). Your spring guide stopper may bend after a while and drop out now and again (making the gun need stripping). If this happens, make a block to stop it dropping down into the trigger mech.
You may struggle to get enough hop for maximum range with heavier pellets. I found a firefly hard VSR bucking gave good range in my BAR10 with 0.30g. Use a couple of layers of some teflon tape to seal the rubber onto the inner barrel.
thout we missed him at first haha

Use any 0.30g ammo if you are on a budget.
