I've heard that when this console came out it was way ahead of it's time, with features like internet connection, and the best ration of ood games to bad games of any console in history.

All of the elements were there for this to be the most successful console in history, something that could get Sega back on it's feet and into the console wars with a bang.

Why it did so poorly in terms of sales will forever confuse me.

And I didn't even have the console myself.

The dreamcast was so far ahead of it's time. Sega wouldn't be out of business if they didn't give up on it, alas, someone somewhere had the dumb idea to only make games. Now us loyal sega fans sit here deprived of our legacy, reduced to dust covered memories of days gone by. I say sega should get up and do something worthwhile, make a system that will blow the pants off of xbox or wii, and bring us back into the light, because this is madness, THIS IS SEGA!

hence the name "Dreamcast." Man, I'm glad I have mine. I got it at a Hollywood video for 25 bucks several years ago. Now I see them sell online for hundreds of dollars. I will never regret buying it, even long after Sega pulled the plug. I love Jet Grind Radio, Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, Crazy Taxi, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (which cost like 80 bucks) Dreamcast will not be forgotten!
