@ProGuitarShopDemos Hi I was wondering which phaser would be better either the Effectrode Phaseomatic Deluxe or the Blackout Effectors Whetstone Analog Phaser? thanks.
Just wanted to chime in and say that this is a ridiculously versatile phaser! Combined with my tortuga wendigo, all sorts of sonic destruction ensues!
Okay, I'm sure I'm crazy. But at 5:13 I swear he's playing the melody to 'turn the beat around' by gloria estephan. Who I'm sure lifted that melody from some great old rock song.
i went to the moog store in montreal 2 weeks ago and saw one of these. I had wanted it since i saw the first PGS video on it. I fell in love with it! so i had to try it. The guy working couldnt even get the first one to work. then the ring and fix modes on the second didnt even work. when i selected FIX it just squeeled. the guy who worked there couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Im sure they arent all like that but i was still let down.
Sounds like you're trying to play Car Wash by Rose Royce at the beginning there... it's close, but not quite exact. The progression is correct, but the riffs are a little different. Either way, they still work and sound great. Really great phaser sound.
Kind of pretentious comment....card wash indeed, spiced up. Why does everyone freak out when people add their own take on tunes. The riff is easy, I can see why he played it up.
Was not pretentious at all... at least not meant to be. Excuse me, if it was. Fact is I'm not a rock guy, but I know most "clips" played in these reviews are rock clips, which I don't know all that well. To my ear, they're always played exactly as they appear on record. So.. in this case, I was saying to myself, "it sounds like Rose Royce, but not quite. I wonder if that is what he was intending to play, or if it was some rock song I don't know of that ripped off Rose Royce, or vice-versa?"
This would come in handy on the pitch shifted part on Beautiful Day, because there is a long sweep, that you can't really find on the delay pedals out there!!!!! Matt.
This seems like such an amazing studio tool, I am not sure you would need this many knobs and toggle switches for a live guitar rig though. At least I would not. Man some sweet sounds in this thing wow I am blown away by this demo. I assume this thing is $350+, OHH GREAAT!
Andy, I noticed you said version 2, this is the same pedal right. Did you just mean version 2 of a demo?
Anyway awesome pedal, I've owned one for about 6 or 7 months now it is easy worth the cash. It is extremely versatile, and you can't tell by the video but it is a pretty small pedal (which I like). I love the PADs mode Ive used it in a few of my solos for some nice texture.
Blackout Effectors did an awesome job with this, they should make a delay with the same design cocepts.
Man I think this pedal is SWEET! =D When I first saw all the knobs and switches my brain started to hurt =/ But they are all straight forward and very useable =D I could waste an entire day with this thing.... then wake up and do it again LOL. I put this on my christmas list =D
Could you tell us what the difference is between this version (V2) and the previous version is? Being such a versatile pedal to begin with, it is hard to tell (at least for me) exactly what the difference is by a youtube clip. No offense meant toward your review; it was awesome. Thanks for any info.
nice but...the Subdecay Quasar wins IMO.

265$ + shipping! Still enthusiasthic? The knobs look like the ones Malekko use - not very durable. Flowers for Zoe, eh?

Part of me wishes it was programmable but I know that can't happen and keep its sweet tone.

it's more of a phaser one would use in studio. imo it's way too complicated for everyday use.
