Check out Magnetic Current By Ed leedskalnin!!

    GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • Here is an IDEA!!! Mount a neodymium magnet at the point of a precision adjustable high rpm motor. Spin the magnet both directions!!!!! Reversing the rotation as well Very fast! Watch it affect the plasma.... Steve

  • Could it be that the field rotates at the center in one direction and it rotates in the opposite direction in the other pole. Plasma is just very "light" and it shows this rotation much easier.

  • how do you make the gas glow? What's the black thing?

  • Hi, thank you for very interesting video, tinselkoala!

I'm just wondering how I can make this plasma? And is it possible to shield agaist like this?

Hope you'll tell me when you have a chance. Thank you again, tinselkoala:)

  • @seveneight10

You are welcome. I think the glass envelope contains a trace of low-pressure neon gas. The base of the unit makes a high-voltage oscillating electrical field that ionizes the neon and makes the plasma. It's a shortrange effect, I'm not sure what you mean by shielding. At the high frequencies used to make the plasma, almost every surface will conduct somewhat, unless it is absolutely dry. So the plasma generating effect could be shielded easily I think by a conductive outer skin.

  • This is not evidence of a rotating feild in a perminant magnet , what is happening here the principle demonstrated in 1830 by Faraday with the Faraday Motor, The currect flowing in the plasma creates its own magnetic field and this rotates , That interacts with the field of the perminant magnet, Rotational magnetic field in Electrical circuits is well know and understood this is because there is a flow of current , in a perminant magnet there is no current moving the field is stationary

  • @mimic58

    I agree with you mostly.

  • great experiment unfortunately its a very indirect and incorrect method or way of testing the motion of the magnetic particles exiting the permanent bar magnet. If you follow Edward Leedskalnins experiments in Magnetic Current you will discover as he did the correct way the move and how they create what we call electric current. For illustrations simply visit magneticcurrent dot blogspot. Read and perform EDs experiments for your self first and see if he is wrong!

  • @SevenScientist

Hey, if it will get me a "Sweet Sixteen" I'll try anything once.

How long have you been insane, I wonder?

  • So is the plasma Diamagnetic ? what i see is not an attraction at all but what seems to be a distortion of the coverage of the plasma, seeing this i wonder what will the effect be of trying to shape the field in proximity to the plasma will the theory hold up according to what we can see or will something new be shown?

  • @Albalan0779 no... Plasma acts like a magnet because current is flowing through it just the same as apeace of copper wire will jump away from a magnet when a current is applied to it , The flow of current creats a magnetic feild which makes it interactive with a perminant magnet

  • That's a pretty cute demo of the effect - you should do it with an electro magnet connected to a variable power source. That's what we did in (the Danish equivalent to) high school, and it demonstrates the correlation between the strength of the magnetic field and the effect on the electric flow, too.

You'd just need a core with windings inside the cup, and you have a ready-for-marked product ;)

  • Hello Nice work

  • Yes it was. There is no difference in essence between the streams of electrons in the plasma and the electrons travelling along a conducting thread. Lodge observed the same reactions of the thread to an approaching magnetic pole and, when held in line with the thread, the latter wrapped itself around the magnet. NB: he didn't need a HVRF supply, just a battery, and he didn't need to video it because he demonstrated it to people in person, and they wrote about it.

  • "There is no difference in essence between the streams of electrons in the plasma and the electrons travelling along a conducting thread."

If you believe that, then there's really no point in discussing matters further, is there?

Where are all the videos of your research, flowerbower? I'd really like to see you demonstrate and explain something unusual or interesting.

  • The only difference is in the possibility of 'reconnection' in the case of plasma streams. What new phenomenon do you really think that you are demonstrating?

Scientists DO make videos of various things, but they are not used as primary evidence.

  • Big deal: Lodge performed this basic demonstration back in the 19th century. Of course, he didn't have access to the plasma gizmo, so he used the metallic embroidery thread which was intended for decorating military uniforms.

  • So it wasn't the same demonstration at all, then, was it.

Where was Lodge's plasma? Where was Lodge's HV RF power supply? Where was Lodge's video camera?

And what was Lodge's explanation for what he saw in his very different experiment?

  • Tinselkoala:

    Great video!!!!

  • Thanks! We are still playing around, trying to figure out why it does what it does.

  • Sweet experiment!

  • If your space ship were a magnet in space would plasma in space spin you? Could you get the plasma in space to move you?

  • Good questions. I think probably not. I'll ask JK and see what he thinks. Check back later.

  • I asked him, and he doesn't think so either, mostly.
