i remember watching this on VHS when i was 4 (i was born in 1998) and then after i curiously pulled the stringy thing out, my parents got me the DVD, but it didn't have this video. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! I JUST CRIED.
It just helps to understand the real meaning for these movies and characters. And I bet a lot of people forget that these Disney princess were made by a man. Walt Disney just tweaked them a little, cause if you knew the real stories of these characters, from the Grimm Brothers, you might not have the same respect for them as you do now. I don't know that much about them, but Pinocchio is a really mean in the real story about him. I need to brush-up on my Disney history. Well, that's all.

@heatbeat10 you'd never have heard this song before if she hadn't have written it for 'The Little Mermaid' so for that reason, this is by far the best version because it's the original. The only person who cannot sing their song better than a cover is Rebecca Black. I wonder how she felt when 'Glee' got more positive feedback from singing Friday than she did :L

@happythunder3 its because she is lip syncing...what you are hearing is the original recording for the movie. and what you are seeing is a music vid Jodi did 8 years after.

@happythunder3 Maybe because A) She is lip-synching (even though it is her voice), and B) The song was recorded 10 years before this video was filmed so she seems a little older and out of place, and C) In her Ariel singing voice, it's childish and cartoony in comparison to her natural adult voice.
