  • I'm Malaysian and i love some of Indonesian culture. :)) Angklung is a culture.

  • i hate when indonesian keep mentioning the Angklung origin. Yeah, of course we know where Angklung origin. Indonesia. And they also keep saying that Malaysian stole the Angklung. Hey dude, come on...you should be proud because Angklung is getting famous in the eyes of the world. Malaysian never said that Angklung origin from Malaysia. Remember that. Shut up and enjoy the music. ---my post shouldn't categorized as rasicm because Indonesian post about the Angklung origin is an eye sore.----

  • Keren, pasti susah maen angkulng dgn tempo yang cepat spt itu, tp buktinya dia bisa, keren :D

  • Spatutnya orang indonesia bangga la sebab angklung nie menarik minat orang ramai. Perlu ke nak marah2? Bangga la wei =.=

  • wei, belajar lah, kan baik kalau semua masyarakat dapat belajar sampai otak dia laras, jangan la gaduh pasal isu kaum kalau otak tak dak isi.

  • indonesia is great....it is indonesia own....only indonesia

  • Angklung bagi masyarakat tatar pasundan, para-hyang-an, pa'sunda'an memiliki rangkaian nilai filosofis, seni, budaya, sejarah, agama sunda tersendiri dan bisa dibuktikan secara ilmiah.

  • plagiat, gapunya budaya

  • angklung dari jawa tau!!! orang malaisia katanya benci jawa, q malah plagiat alat musik jawa sih?

  • @alponselrik Sorry sir, Angklung is sundanese culture.

  • kalau kalian sedar, malaysia n indonesia memang adik beradik rapat..yg selalu bergaduh...bergaduh macamana sekalipun, hubungan saudara kita tidak akan dapat diputus....semua tradisi n instruments adalah hak milik nenek moyang n darah yg sama...sama2 la kita guna n naikkan supaya dikenali seluruh dunia...

  • believe me. 90% who talks shit about malaysia never been to malaysia before. neither have any malaysian friends or families.

btw. this video is uber cool.

  • pfft..malaysia vs indonesia..we all come from the same root as well as the filipinos..in fact malay people originally are from indonesia..the true native of malaysia is orang asli such as batek, negrito etc..

  • That is sick as. It sounds so awesome.

  • MALAYSIA INDONESIA will you stop fighting? There's no use at all. I'm Malaysian and I have lots of Indonesian friends and we really get well with each other. Everything is fine when u throw away those stupid HATRED in your small hearts!

  • Comment removed

  • nice fucking haircut...is that the best you can do for a tv show? oh yeah good work on the sticks!

  • Indonesian invented angklung first! but it doesnt matter if ppl from other countries play it at an event, but remember Angklung is from Indonesia.

  • In what part of 'SERUMPUN' that you Indonesian dont understand? Fighting over the culture with a country that is almost 90% identical to yours is the most stupidest thing i ever seen.

Personally,I,as a Malaysian, dont really give a damn on who invented angklung,or anything, as long as it was invented by the Melayu people.

Lain lah kalau angklung ini dikatakan direka oleh orang-orang Inggeris.(I assume you guys have no problem to understand what Im trying to say here)

  • @bossempireorg okay to all the people in the world expecialy you bossempireorg , we indonesian people doesnt mind if you play our nasional instrument , actualy we're really happy and proud, and right we are serumpun , but we'd like it if you dont try to take away our national heritage , and called it yours, :) dan saya mengerti dengan yang kamu katakan , differences is what make us unique but seperated , were from different country that is united with "serumpun" . lets stick with that

  • Whoa, one guy's playing all that? I remember the Anklung Club back in primary school in Singapore when we'd have an entire ARMY of students playing... @_@ Good times.

  • @LiliAndRayRay ...Sorry, I spelled angklung wrong.

  • malingsial

  • All right! Some angalung music that doesn't drive me crazy. :)

  • my god! he is good! bravo!

  • Be careful to the tourists who are going to Malaysia because Angklung is INDONESIAN and NOT MALAYSIAN!!! This video is from malaysia...they just stole it!!!! please be careful!!!! love ANGKLUNGGG INDONESIAA

  • @alexonhj2 Angalung began in Indonesia, but it is played all over Southeast Asia now. I love the way it has been adapted it so well to western music.

  • @GravelGrunt i agree with u, u must be an example to all malaysian ppl

  • don't worry to indonesian, coz angklung has been recognized by UNESCO. so Angklung 100% made in indonesia, i love indonesia i like the culture

  • Angklung is originally Indonesian since many Indonesians travelling to Malaysia, we share it to them...

  • umm, pardon me. angklung is definitely not a TOY! It's better to mention it as a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT which I --as myself and as a Sundanese-- very proud and respect of. Oh, come on..

  • @nissarachmidwiati it's what the performer calls himself.

  • @nissarachmidwiati just found his real name, aksi toi

  • @nissarachmidwiati : Toy is refer to the person who's playing the Angklung ..

    Toi 'The Bamboo Shaker'

The third runner-up of Astro’s Akademi Fantasia season six, Khairul Nizam Baharom or Toi, is not just a singer. He is also a multi-talented performer and musician who won 2 Gold Medals in the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood in 2005 for playing the Angklung.Besides performing in Hollywood, Toi has also played the angklung in Denmark, Dubai and Jakarta.

  • I never realized how competitive Asians can be until I read the comments on this video..

    This is cool though. (:

  • I wonder why the Indonesians like to pick a fight with us Malaysians?? its not like we've done anything horrible to your country whether in the past or the present.........

  • @Ryukendo92 : malaisya claim that angklung and another indonesian culture is from your country, its mean your country took our money...... indonesian culture bring tourism and it brings money to indonesia, you took it from us

  • i love Indonesia.... i love the culture....... to all western, came to Indonesia, enjoy our Food....... enjoy our music,

  • mank udjo nya

  • I'm proud if foreigners love our traditional music... proud to be Indonesian

  • proud to be INDONESIA

  • ribut ribur wae lah wong dah jelas yang maen orang indonesia ko, ga pernah awak liat orang malayseia maen angklung, kayaknya mereka (malaysia) juga ga ada yang bisa maen angklung,,, jadi ga usah ribut yah, yang maenya aja ga mikirin heheheh

  • i love music from indonesia :)

  • damm good!!!

  • respek la toi!

  • not all Malays were Indonesian origin, only the Javanese people migrated from there. the Malaysian Malays have their very own kingdom such as Kedah Tua, Langkasuka and Funan and they existed long before Majapahit (Javanese). so stop making bold claims saying "Malays were belonged to Indonesia".

Sekarang pun kamu belum merdeka, negara mungkin dah lama merdeka, tapi otak kamu masih lagi dijajah.tengok sahaja bila rakyat kamu datang ke Malaysia, macam orang zaman batu tahu tak?tak pernah naik komuter, tak pernah naik kereta, tak pernah tengok perempuan langsung!dah la wahai orang indonesia, tak perlu kamu bangga dengan negara kamu, rakyat kamu, bangsa kamu kalau kau pun masih menumpang!

  • yeaa,.,,,,,this stuff coming from indonesia dude,,,

  • There is no impossible in music. Traditional and modren. Why not :)) we live in one world and one life. Namaste.

  • UNESCO, THE UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, has recognized “Angklung” the Indonesian bamboo musical instrument and music as “World Heritage”, after this world body’s recognition of Batik, the Wayang puppet and the Keris dagger as uniquely Indonesian, said Wardiyatmo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as reported by Antara.

    news from web indonesia.travel

  • @TheIndonesiaTravel pi mampos lah indon............ makanlah buluh2 angklong tu........ bodoh .......setakat kaya budaya tapi miskin harta dan jiwa buat apa? merempat dibumi sendiri dan meminta-minta di negara orang..... PATI makan buluh angklong heeheheehe celeng................

  • @CROSSGUNMAN hahaha yang miskin jiwa tuh orang malay..

  • ayyo.. we share the same culture.. why need to gadoh2?? kita kongsi bumi ni dgn sume org, nape xnk gado plak psl tu? if angklung tu warisan indonesia sekalipun, ape masalahnyer?? Muzik itu untuk dihayati keindahannya.. peace!

  • A+ fo that guy, malaysia loser

  • hahahahahaha so many proves that angklung from indonesia,,,even western people said that too,,,,why malaysian still claiming?!,,,,hahahahaha so poor culture,,,contry

  • indonesia could be too awesome

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • AWESOME

  • Yeah, Angklung is from Indonesia. I remembered playing it with my friends at school when I was little. But, everyone has right to appreciate and play it. Malaysians just love our music like Indonesians do. So what's wrong with that?

Anyway, great performance!! It's really cool to play it all by himself :)

  • @Ernestalice : its wrong if they claimed that its from they country, it related to tourisme, its abo

    ut money ( i think)

  • @candrapsikolog84 Maybe u're right. But don't forget that Indonesians were the ones who gave them chance to claim it, including me. I know I don't have the right 2 talk, since I've done nothing. But I'm still hoping that someday I could improve Indonesia's culture. N I have 2 say that, in my school we were learning culture only a bit, a little bit. Adults want us 2 be perfect in math or science, rather than art.:)

  • enjoy the music...... ^_^

  • REALLY LOVE IT :*

  • nice! but the last rocking second spoilt it...

  • Nice:) This is from malaysia :)

  • @adeelaemo kiss ur mommas asshole,,,,makci fuck pakci....uuugghhhhyeeeaaahhhh

  • @BREATHDEEPER got problem with me?

  • Angklung is Indonesian traditional music. It's totally Indonesian. If other countries claim it as theirs, they are lying..it's as simple as that.

  • @jacketkulit : ^_^

  • nice talent i hate the song but awesome job

  • WOW thats pretty amazing. i love how music shares throughout different cultures:))

  • music is universal!

  • that's Toi from Akademi Fantasia reality show. he's a malaysian and an angklung player. he can sing too. he's not indonesian!

  • Yeah so what if its from Indonesia or London or Nigeria or whatever?

They have a word called 'SHARING'.

  • @superdance07 its malasia but its still cool

  • @superdance07 But malayshit say that angklung was made in malayshit, and they was very abusive to indonesia, they dare to us because they was Joined something called FDPA (Five defense power alliance)

  • @Shiroblack Whatever you say. I was born in Malaysia but a lot of my ancestors are Indonesian. So yeah, I respect both countries. And you don't have the right to call Malaysia - Malayshit. Thanks.

  • @superdance07 okay sorry, i just realized that indonesia was tell malaysia about angklung and some of my country person that move to malaysia said that angklung was made in malaysia, so actually this is my own country fault, i'm apologize dude, sorry, have a good day :)

  • @superdance07 easy bro,the best way to treat uneducated person is by ignoring them..i believe theres millions more indonesians who have better minded than this shiroblack person..we do treat them good although they payed us bad.

  • @superdance07 i agree

  • @superdance07

your country is justa thief no inspiration

you see in AFF cup your PM bribe the referee

so ganyang malaysia ganyang malaysia sekarang juga sekarang juga sekarang juga

    malingsia

  • @superdance07

Toy is from Sarawak Malaysia,. Angklung are very popular in Borneo Island beside Gong and other Bamboo Instrument

  • @superdance07 i can't agree with you more on that. none of us here was there when the Malay empires joined as one kingdom. so it's not us to say whether the tradition is solely belonged to Malaysia or Indonesia.

  • @superdance07 : sharing is ok, but "claiming" is a sin. it's not only about "culture", but its about money, it have relevancy to tourisme,

  • @superdance07 it is from Indonesia :D

  • DAMN THATS FREAKEN COOL!!

  • bukan toy af ke..??toi..???

  • so damn beautiful. Gosh, the artist is so good in handling this set of instrument (since it's usually played in groups)

  • @meimosaki agree with you dude. it's so amazing.

  • @meimosaki Our music teacher actually did show this to us today :D

  • Yeah, my family has a smaller version, and yeah it is Indonesian. The song is really good.

  • @jl4singaqua11 that's Toi from Akademi Fantasia reality show. he's a malaysian and an angklung player. he can sing too. he's not indonesian!
