I will never forget the last flight. My dad got to sign his name inside with his crew members. I still get to see it once in a while at the Air Force Museum. This plane is a symbol and represents and pays respect to the brave men and woman of our armed forces. I have an unbelievable respect and pride in our soldiers. It just bothers me that people die defending my freedom while im sitting on my ass. It takes unbelievable courage. God Bless you all

I have over 7300 flying hours in the C141 as a Flight Engineer. I'm missing it very much. It will always be a part of my life. Most of my stories start with, WHEN I WAS FLYING ON THE C141!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The video is great with or without the music.

I worked on the C-141A & B models. Started in 1972 through 1977, at McGuire AFB, NJ. as an active duty person (Avionics, retired in '77). Later, worked them, as a civilian, from 1984 through 1992. Great airplane! Never worked this particular aircraft, and don't remember it even passing through as a transient. Spent many a night up in the T-tail, "chasin' wires". Nice video, thanks. Also, "deep six" the music.

I flew the faithful beautiful A model till the very end, evacuating Saigon in April of '75. Amazing strong bird took me everywhere. I'll never be the same.

I worked alot of C-141's and C-5's from states to USAFE and back as a Radio Operator Croughton Airways..1978-1980. And while with the 5th Mob these two fine planes took us everywhere!!

Good video Danny, we sure have lots of good memories from our days of flying the C-141. I think the music was very fitting for those of us who spent so many hours aboard the aircraft and have to watch it be retired.

I was a C141 Crew chief. In the USAF from 1974 to 1994. My bird was 60141. Loved that tail number! Even after all these years I could still do an engine run in my sleep.

I was a crew chief in Army Aviation, UH-1H's & C-12's. Like you some procedures are still in my brain cells. I still look up at the sound of a Huey flying by. I had the chance to fly in a 141 during a deployment. Nice aircraft.

My stepdad used to fly these, and my dad flys the C-5 currently, in my opinion, the C-5 sounds better and looks better, just my opinion though.

You know the C-17 is bigger, but the C-141 could hold more troops, not the best replacement to me. The c-141 also had the best sound of all, the best will be missed.

I loved seeing these roaring, shrieking beasts streak over. Up in the clouds, you'd hear the roar, rather suddenly. Then that shrieking whistle of the TF-33s. Then a glimpse of that strong majestic frame passing out of the cloud cover for just an instant, and then the echoing roar into the distance.

Man, modern planes just don't do it for me.

It isn't just about a plane landing...that is the Hanoi Taxi...it brought back the first prisoners of war from N.Vietnam. It was retired in Dec of 2005. The rest of them are in a scrap yard. I think this video was trying to capture that..not a plane crash.

flew on C-141 from Philippines back to Kunsan AB Korea (the "Wolfpack") after participating in Cope Thunder '86. The flight took 3 hours. We were flown on C-130 to the Philippines, which took 6 hours.

i ask the same thing, i think that the authors dont want anyone else to hear the sound of the airplane itself. or better yet, they cut the sound off before it flys over or takes off with more lame music

The only more reliable plane in service at the same time was the C-130. I spent 8 years maintaining the Starlifter at McGuire Air Force Base. A great, great airplane!!!

A good example of added background music NOT matching up with the video. The C-141 is/was a military cargo plane - a machine of war, not fluffy bunny rabbits frolicking with pink doves in a field of love butter. Just my opinion...
