  • Now give it a couple 50 cal machine guns, a rocket launcher or 3 and send it to war.

  • 1:56 And thus the shoe was invented.

  • 0:40 it's bee powered

  • mean while in Africa,,,

  • That was funny and creepy at the same time

  • @denis10k

A camera which can detect movement and clear areas to go + recognition of movement, enemies, people, good places to take cover. And also a silent engine

  • Now all you need are sensors, bullet proof armour, an intelligent camera, and a gun, and that thing will be fucking dangerous

  • @letzplay45 Whats an "intelligent camera" ?

  • hahahahHAHAHAH I laughed so fucking hard till I saw funding from DARPA.

  • Holy Shit this is scary.

  • DARPA?! METAL GEAR?!

  • what if it actually fell over?!

  • 0:27-1:02 I bet if a a deer got drunk it would be stumbling around the woods just like this.

  • Poor Robot, it looks like an animal that carry around back packs and do everything to not drop them.

  • Great, robots that can be weaponized to kill people. Oh yeah, you're really doing the good lord's work. It is as if our methods of warfare haven't become impersonal enough. (drones, rockets, bombs, jets, etc) I'm not against the technology itself, but this type of thing is only gonna be used by governments to terrify people.

  • I just wonder what would go through BigDog's head if it could think while on the ice.

"SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, i'm ok :)"

  • cool, now make a hunter.

  • This is so simultaneously awesome and frightening!

  • its a thing from halflife 2

  • its like big, blind, drunk dog...

  • The way it reacted when kicked was amazing

  • All that needs is a pair of eyes! :)

  • this is soo cool but yet sooo disturbing to see how the legs react like a normal human leg

  • lol, alcohol problems

  • my right ear is lonely

  • XD 0:50

  • I hope this isn't being used to sneak up on taliban insurgents!

  • How freaking drunk is this thing?

  • @Betoey hahaha sooo true

  • It's gonna be real funny when judgement day arrives.

  • Fuck i laughed so hard xD

  • Why do I find this video hilarious?

  • NIGHTMARES

  • 1:40 I'll remember that when machines take over the world.

  • Sai porra parece um demonio

  • i'd use that thing for a golf caddy

  • AAAAaaaAAAAAAAAAAaaa

  • "All right, men, the Americans have a new walking attack robot, but don't worry - just listen for the extremely loud buzzing noise, then walk away from it at a leisurely pace."

  • OMG! I LMAO SO HARD WHEN HE SLIPS!

  • Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • I notice the bot uses a gas generator, Michigan state University has developed a Wave Disk Generator engine that might work better for this kind of application.

  • acts like fucking bambie

  • 1:00 LMAO!

  • Its fucking awesome, but at the same time I laughed my ASS off when i took a close view and imagined two guys inside a sack trying to get somwhere. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • it is like my dog,i kick it and it is bouncing ! hahaha

  • What a drunk!

  • I don't know why they haven't put an AT-AT shell on this thing yet and taken it to the next level.

  • idi bre u pm al je ovo gadno posle da sanjama aa

  • It's incredible to see how this robot manages to walk even on slippery surface.

  • It looks like it can move pretty fast when it's kicked. It's just pretending to move slow so one day it can catch the owner off guard and charge him.

  • kill this thing, it's fucking disgusting

  • 0:05 alright i'm fucking sick of this thing

  • poor dog =\

  • I feel like I'm watching some animal with poor footing, and I'm feeling sorry for it

  • @Blackout987 Me toooooo. That's weird hunh?

  • They laughed when my foot got stuck in the brick...

I laughed when the brick got stuck in their skull.

  • @ZzRvXzZ lmao.

  • Kick him into ice ;)

  • i feel bad when they kick him ):

  • Looks like a frightend puppy going down hill...

    My what a wonderful animal.

  • @popceed yes, its an animal now

  • I don't understand at all! How i could do what it did on the ice! Like Don't robots have to be programmed for everything they do? That ice was a new situation. I don't get how it could of responded like that!

  • @AALEVK Im just gonna take a wild guess and say a shit load of gyroscopes and acclerometers tell it when it's right side up and it's programmed to do everything it can to stay right side up...thats just a guess though this shit is creepy

  • I wouldnt dare to kick one of my future machine overlords.

  • So who is the head of this project? Dr. Arliss Loveless?

  • WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE?!?!? THEIR MAKING DRunken stumbling robots. . . . .

  • Yea I also felt "sorry" for it when it got kicked, or when its struggling to stand. I'm already personifying it, lol.

  • Its kinda scary we getting close to terminator type stuff.

  • these guys really dont give a shit about their research robot

  • this looks like something from silent hill.

  • spider?

  • There's one thing I would improve on though, I think it could use is a protective casing to protect its electronic core structure.

  • @train52000 i think they'll do it later for sure. there are more important things to improve yet.

  • jhajajajajajajajjajaja parece como si estuviera ebrio

  • 1:41 lol xD

  • That buzz is too annoying. The thing needs to be nuclear powered!

  • that is fuckin freaky!

  • Anyone else think it was 2 people in a costume at first?

  • I was laughing all through this, its like torturing a horse. Great work guys!

  • @Vaspra54 haha.. you won't laugh in 50 years.

  • @Nunk0 id say more like 200 or 300 more years

  • @ToNGanStuNNa650 20 will be enough to stop laughing about that...

  • I wouldn't trust my pepsi/coke light to it :x

  • the reflexes is just amazing...but i really dont like it!

  • This is the prototype of the AT-AT unit of Star Wars.

  • I'm really happy that I'm not the only one who finds this scary

  • i want one

  • THERE'S A REAL DOG'S BRAIN INSIDE THAT THING!

  • @LameGamer195 If there was a dog's brain, it would be a cyborg.....This isent a cyborg because European mechanics have not yet tested and approved for cyborgs yet.

  • I go mad: it moves practically as an animal. This big achievement of developers! I congratulate. The weak place - movement under a bias, is necessary to "learn" to move it on the semibent:)

  • :08 THIS IS SPART- Oh wait....this kid's good. o.O

  • Well, I don't need sleep tonight anyway...

  • id die of fear if i ever met this thing :P

  • 不気味の足…

  • Its really creepy looking....

  • Don't hope they're going to transport soda's with that machine..

  • yeah...i know that it's a great invention, but it's little bit gross:(

  • 1:40 we will see who gets the last laugh >:|]

  • Its a giant bee with no wings!

  • i recon it needs better feet

  • That noise... XDDD

    Weueueueueueueuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuueeueueueueueueueueueu!

  • I thought this was a deer with no head somehow still living..

Honestly though, what is the point of making a 4 legged robot that has good reflexes?

  • @MOHtier1FTW

Send it into high hazard areas instead of people. Robots are awesome and if we use them right they will benefit our species in ways we cant yet imagine! We just have a long way to go still =)

  • METAL GEAR!

  • That's pretty damn impressive. Even if it looks like a retarded llama with broken legs.

  • I cant help it but I gotta say it at the first part... THIS IS SPARTA!

  • A couple questions on BigDog's capabilities:

What's the fastest it can move?

    Does it have different gaits?

How many MPG does it get?

  • @JeffreyRodriguez check out their website, all the info on it is there.

  • lol.. they should call it drunken dog well at least many of my friends walk like that after a party... and btw yeah they kicked it they laughed at it, no complain later when the human race is eradicated... it all begins like that...... thank u asshole now we are doomed.

  • Am I the only one who thinks this thing looks funny as f***?

  • 1:42 They laughed at it. It was the last laugh in their lives. We are doomed.

  • we are so dead

  • 0:01 - This is Big Dog.

    0:12 - THIS. IS. SPARTAAAA!

  • The movement of its stabilization is just disturbing.

  • @ShadowLynx777 - i'll have to admit though, funny and amazing at the same time.

  • @ShadowLynx777 I actually felt sorry for it every time it struggled to stand up.

  • @ShadowLynx777 couldnt understand why its so disturbing to watch

  • i just got an idea for a new horror movie

  • Kick it harder next time....

  • "Up a slope, we cool, down a slope, F*#K you slope!"

No but really, this is actually an impressive device from a design and programming perspective.

  • I feel bad for it :(

  • Really, REALLY impressed by this. As a programmer, thinking of the design behind the action induces a large grin.

  • the engineer laughing at the machine will be the first to die when SkyNet becomes self-aware. mark my words.

  • I want to see how that thing reacts to going off a cliff. (Put armor on it first.) LoL

  • vuvuzela 2.0

  • 戦争は変った

  • @gc3k i agree

  • "No man, I'm cool! I got this, I got this!"

  • Is this apparatus blind and reacting to internal sensors as well as being remotely controlled by an operator or can it "see" its environment? If it is capable of perceiving its surroundings and react to visual cues, well, then that is where this thing could become really creepy. If it every becomes field ready with a quiet internal power source, I could see this thing being set out to perform stealth recon of hostile territory in combat. Add silenced weapons to it and you have a robot soldier.

  • @1955thekeeper The final Bigdog version or LS3 for short will have a stereo camera, Lidar, a laser range finder to sense the environment as well as locations of people. It's loaded with dozens of sensors for locomotion such as joint position, joint force, ground contact, ground load, and a gyroscope. It can be set to operate independently (follow the leader), or by remote.

  • Lvl up!

  • BIGDOG

    Y U NO FALL

  • Snake? Snake?? Snake!!!!!!!!

  • IT WILL REMEMBER THAT KICK I SWEAR

  • mgs4 gekko "moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

  • I cringed when he kicked it and expected it to attack.

  • You have like the same video so many times...

  • They must have had some programming on how to get down the hill. ....

  • id love to see someone kick it down a hill

  • Very noisy. If you send to front line can be destroyed before to react.

  • Please put some sort of face on it!!

  • @passmethepepper that'll be scary O .O............

  • I think one of the Four Horsemen was supposed to ride this thing. Let's see, it was Plague, Famine, War, and Robots, right?

  • That droid got shitfaced on fermented motor oil.

  • I don't know if this is absolutely hilarious or terrifying

  • I don't know if this is absolutely hilariousor terrifying

  • I dont know why, but i find this hilarious

  • horror

  • 1:48 poor Robot D:

In near Future we need Robotrights :)

  • But what if this robot one day will say : "please human stop making me doing this i'm tired!!"

  • That sound haunts my dreams.

  • OH Sh1t at 00:57 - 01:27

  • man this shit is creepy

  • THIS THING NEEDS TO BE IN BATTLEFIELD 3!!!

  • but an MG on it

  • Lmao at this thing struggling to walk

  • It needs a tail and sheet metal skin

  • how embarrassing! this reminds me of the models trying to walk in high heels

  • 0:55 Seizure Much?

  • What would be great is if you could utilize this tecnology to help paralyzed people walk again!

  • hey boston dynamics why don't you strap a 12 round rocket canister to the top drills to the feet to dig in for support and turn your Support machine into a Tank killer already

  • FUCK YOU FEMA

  • Considering how loud it is it might be useful as a long range assault drone.

  • This thing scares the shit out of me

  • pisshead on xmas day at 0:55

  • What are they having if this is on youtube.....

  • damn how does it know how to react? some serious programing must have went into this.. unless there is an AI???!!! O.o

  • @Jake9123 AI is still programming as well...

  • @Jake9123 Exactly, and that's why it's one of the most advanced robots in the world.

  • @AgrivatedKillah it just amazes me, for once maybe all those fantasy mechs and crap from video games and movies may actually be possible

  • add a gun and take off one of the legs and you got a hunter.

  • Pretty cool although creepy but whats the point of it without effective means of power? its like makeing car shell in prehistoric times a couple of thousand years before it can effectively be used. Work on sustainable, portable power instead of expensive gimmicks.

  • @daspoooop It's a prototype dude. It's not like they're mass produce these until they have the power problem, and a bunch of other shit figured out.

  • 1:41 xDDDDDD

  • Even in watching the recovery of the machine in order to "right" itself...it's one of those naturalized moments of inherent Human Empathy we are talking about where it is that you want to jump up and HELP thinking to yourself..."You poor thing!" But, here we have a facet of realism that has for Decades, diligently been sought after STILL in developing such machines! I would venture to say that you folks will be a household name here before long! =) Good stuff...

  • ROFLMFAO. I love it...but...at the same time I feel so damn sorry for it. Is that normal?
