OMG!! It made me cry so much. They all love JP so much. Does he ever come back later with craig at all. I cant believe tina died it is so sad. JP and Myra hav such an amazing relationship its so sweet, and to think that he would just leave all the girls they need him most now, that tinas gone.

from what i have seen and read...it's pretty obvious he is still with Craig...and from i can see, they are very happy together...but he still should've never skip Tina's funeral,better yet if he needs Craig by his side...he should have brought him back here...but maybe JP feels like he's been hurt to much that he doesn't want to be here...overall,this storyline did end the way i wanted to...they now knoe the truth abt Nials...and JP is happier than ever with his new life in Dublin with Craig

I think it says a lot about JP's immuturity and selfishness. His SISTER is dead. The show should have at least fast forwared a few days and had him leave right after her funeral.

Sometimes it's not about you; but other people (namely his mum and sisters). But, I like the consistency of his characterization. 'Cause when Niall called him selfish, I totally nodded yes.

But, I am glad he's going back to Craig in Dublin and he knows Keiren didn't kill himself.

I think it's implied that he might still be with Craig, since he specifically said he's going back to Dublin. Otherwise, he would've probably have gone elsewhere. Heck, there are a lot of other places he could've went, but Dublin is what he specified. And not only that, he was willing to rush back there than spend another moment at his mom's (and Liverpool). In my analysis, he felt empty since his heart was not along side him, and he wanted to head back and feel "complete" again.

... especially with all that transpired with Niall (and almost being killed and all). Craig was the only one that made him feel complete (something Kieron couldn't naturally fulfill), and that's why he rushed back.

You've put it exactly right. JP needs Craig right now - he's lost others at Niall's hands and he's probably thinking that he needs to be with the man he loves.

With the whole Craig not being in it and not mentioned and everything... I think it'd be a bit more plausable if JP said something like "he'll be worried where I am" or "I should ring him". I mean, we don't even get to know whether Niall kidnapped JP or rang him or anything, or if Craig knows he's in Hollyoaks. I understand that if they came back for Tina's funeral it'd be like, so when are they actually leaving the show properly?

But I still want them to come back :( I miss them.

I agree, this is illogical on the writers' parts.  The truth is most likely that James' contract only called for the limited air time and it was used up quickly. Maybe Tina's contract expired too! Maybe there's more tomorrow? We shall see. I don't buy his not going his Tina's funeral; it's as wrong as JP's abandoning Craig at the airport last year on the way to Dublin. James said that he and Guy were "not too keen" on the script of that episode, except that Craig's return was left open.

The circumstnaces are different.

John Paul was one of only 2 McQueen sibblings who was prepared to die to spare the life of at least one of his siblings, Jaquie wasnt.

He was prepared to die for her, which is more than she was prepared to do for him, of course she didnt tell him to stay, she has no right to and she knows it.

JP & Mercy selflessly sacraficed their lives, they only survived because Niall's explosion was crap, and JP is being accused of being selfish because he wants to go home to be with his partner?

I have never been in a position were I had to choose to die knowing that I was leaving a partner behind, but I can understand that JP having been through that tramua and only lived by luck, would want to go home to be with his partner.

IMO it is believable that he wouldnt stay for the funeral.

Okay I have to say this now! It has really been bugging me! I know that James Sutton agreed to do these scenes as a favour to the show... but JP leaving the day after his family gets blown up and his sister dies just doesn't work! Even if you can accept that his reason for going is that he can't cope with YET ANOTHER death, I'm pretty sure the police wouldn't want him skipping town so soon! Surely he could have stayed for a few more episodes to resolve this properly? Feels unfinished!

I dislike him also but... in his psychosis he was true to his warped values... I hate him for killing Fr Kerion(sp)... I am not too fond of JP for his immaturity ... I guess he was just to young to make the best judgements.

Being that they are young adults, slight immaturity in judgement would be plausible to state. Regardless, going abck to Dublin was probably the best choice since it's away from all the drama and death, esp. since Craig is his best life support. People cope with death in so many ways. I've had many of my older family members and a few friends pass away already, yet, I have yet to attend a funeral. I prefer to be alone at the grave and let it all out privately to my deceased relative.
