@bassplayer6210 Your only saying that because you dislike MCR, if you actually used your brain you'd realize that taking into account their age and the fact that they covered this song they probably listened to this type of music growing up.
Like i said in another comment, As being a Fan of My Chemical Romance for 6 years as long as they have been a band. it's kinda upsetting hearing them do songs like CCR don't get me wrong CCR isn't a bad band at all. it's just makes me sad to see how far MCR as pulled away from the BEST days of Bullets.... they really shouldn't do covers like this.
I like that they've changed, I'm a longtime fan who loves their old stuff, but I like how they're always pushing themselves to grow + do something different
i've been a fan for 3 years now, but ive noticed that what got me into mcr once is slowly fading away and it scares me :/ im not waiting for them to do albums that all sound alike, of course not but i didnt appreciate mcr making such a commercial record like they did with TBP. im anxiously waiting to hear what the next 'more stripped down' album is going to sound like..
i was at this show, and when they started playing the opening chords of the song, my friend and i just looked at each other and went "holy hell!" and started rocking out. all the little german emo kids just sort of stood there, like "wtf?" because i guess they've never heard of vietnam or CCR. oh well, their loss
very unexpected, and very well performed. kudos to mcr for playing this as part of their encore.
they played it in luxembourg the first time and i went berserk because it sounded amazing. i didnt know who's it was or what the name of the song was but i sure as hell loved it.
np. i love that song too now. unfortunately i thought it was MCR's own song at first because i'd neve heard CCR's music before. just the name. so yeah..
