Personally, I think Dave's struggling with heartbreak. You can hear it in later songs on this album. He also struggles with the people who have and who have not and obviously with people who believe in a proactive God who controls their lives. I hope he is well but I hear the heartache and searching in the songs on this album. When I hear "Lying in the hands of God," I think of someone taking a trip at home through a needle.
first time i heard this i was on 2 hits of bomb acid and it blew my mind cuz im a christian. new agers who listen to this please find jesus. you cannot be your own savior.. lord yeshua bless you all!!!! FIND JESUS DAVE!!
Holy crap, this reminds me of the best times I had of my gaming life on Playstation Home. I miss those times so badly. Now I just play WoW on the computer all day.
mhh8997 - really??? Please don't comment when you have no clue what you're talking about!! Idiot - yeah dave stole this from the jonas brothers! YOU ARE A MORON!!! Keep listening to your little boy band!!
@mhh8997 the jonas brothers cant write music. there music is written by studio producers because there brains dont function the same as other musicians.
I remember I was on the bus blastin this song through my headphones and when the last part came up when he was screaming it was soundin hella loud and like the whole bus was starin like "WTF kinda devil music is that nigga listenin to?
but Alligator pie is better IMO. whole album was flames
this song is powerful, dave sounds so mad at the end. It sounds like his vocal chords are about to crack right open. He screams "I wanna believe in Jesus" at the top of his lungs at the very end, this song is all about struggling to accept what you wish you could but just can bring yourself to doing, in my opinion. I love that line: "Baby when i go home, i wanna pick up the pieces, baby when i get home, i wanna believe in Jesus"!
Man, can you just imagine what a video for this song from them would look like? :D
I'm actually surprised they don't go into the "No one would believe it" segment one more time at the end. The lack of that hook kinda makes the shock of the last part fizzle a bit. But still love the song regardless.
Going to dave tonight and tomorrow hell yea wanted to know if ne1 heard him play it on tour my fav too woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
screw u ur obviously retarted because if you dont like some one your not gonna see them and concert and not everyones as rich as your life made ass so have fun in hell
um im not quite sure what you meant by that, couldnt really understand it. but i live on my own, you looked pretty young on your profile so im just going to leave this alone.

they are one of the best bands i have ever seen i seen them on fuse live concert they blew me away ive seen everyone from robert plant bb king aerosmith audioslave godsmack kiss rush large variety i love music and they do a great job at representing music not rock or blues jazz they give you music they have made me as song writer musician look at music as simple as just play and love it god bless dmb they are music
I really enjoyed DMB when they first came out, but kind of lost interest over the years. I might have to check them out again though if the rest of this album is this good.
