great . im speechless. i would like to know the amp settings ,i have carvin sx-200 ,a small amp but it sounds good, on channel A i have vol, overdrive ,bass, mid,treble ,and presence, thats the rock side.u know. hes very good, but unfortunately him like a lot of people dont realise that the open "a" string played through the verse section is not played with perfectly even timing spaces between each note. when randy plays it, if you listen carefully, you can hear that he puts in slight pauses for rhythmic complexity and to make it more harmonically satisfying.

unfortunately thats not wholey true, ive listened to both the studio recordings and the live ones, he uses accents very slgihtly in the studio recordings but in the live recordings he uses perfectly even spaces with no accents or pauses

hmmm well yes and no. when i listen to the tribute recording, he uses perfectly even spaces in the first verse, but he uses very slight pauses, or accents as you put it in the second and third verses. they are more noticeable in the second verse than in the third but they are there. he doesnt use them in every measure, but they are there none the less.
