  • whats a phishing site?

  • It looks more like an icicle =D

  • Thats cool!

  • does is actually melt by itself or only on a heat?

  • heat only or until 5-10 hours

  • @comments below, yes you can melt it, put it over heat until it's watery again then chill it

  • That looks like a tornado

  • I wouldn't drink out of it.

  • how the...

  • nice :)

  • I bet he just used a wine class as the model , then poured the sodium acetate over the glass.

  • @bibbastard , although could be possible, only in this vid we would be able to se the base of the glass, because, a wine glass does not jsut go to a tip on the bottom as we all know. And the hot ice that is stuck to the place is quite an irregular pattern so I really doubt that there was a model.

  • how nice

  • Nicely done =O. When i made my sodium acetate, it turns into more of a gel then sturdy solid, lol, so i can't sculpt =(.

But this looks.....like it took a while!! lol

  • If it doesnt do what it did in the video, It was probably too diluted, Try again with not so much water :)

  • cuz its not ice

  • no it cant

  • is this thing can melting???

  • what hitler will come and destroy that with a nuclear bomb.what will you do?

  • Use a baster next time instead if a glass tell me if it works

  • It's hot :) It's like ice, just... Well, hot.

  • that must be hard your a artist

  • lol :D

  • u no if u drink from that u might die

  • its not a cup

  • No you wouldn't. Sodium Acetate is not toxic and is actually used as a conservation agent in various food products.

  • what if someone came up and chopped the bottom lol

  • @adragof lol I totally feel like going over to this guys house and doing that! :D

  • lol cool

  • awesome!

  • where can you find the crystal things?

  • its sodium acetate you can by it on ebay

  • Nah, just make it using vinegar and baking soda. Its easier. (See wikipedia: sodium acetate for details.)

  • Cool!

  • Amazing i tried that but not enough water

  • what happpends if it ands on ur hand

  • uhh it freezes up on ur hand i guess

  • nd burns you right?

  • lol only one way to find out

  • It's the same stuff found in heating pads it doesn't burn it's just warm.

  • it can burn, if you pour it on your hand and it goes solid, it might burn you

  • ya i wont do that,,, lol freeze or burn... dont wanna do it lol

  • so coud u pour liquid in it and be able to drink it non-toxicably? and will the liquid freeze inside?

  • if you want to drik it it's your problem, go and try if you want! XD

  • i dont have any sodium acetate

  • Yea, if its pure you should be able to. Sodium Acetate is the flavoring on SALT & VINEGAR chips.

  • beautiful

  • Is it toxic?

  • absolutely not. the food industry is using it

  • absolutely not. the food industry is using it

  • nice 5/5

  • that is amazing. i didn't know you could make it small and then big.

  • LOL. good luck getting it off the plate!

  • just melt it, duh

  • ........ It isn't ice, they just call it that.... it actually crystalizes and stuff

  • it still melts, just heat it up

  • it's exothermic which means if you put it to heat it freezes! duh!

  • cool man.

  • omg

  • nice

  • so does it ever melt or break over time?

  • it melts

  • this guy must be from pittsburgh or cleveland. I hear "hot ice" is all the rage there.

  • that is cool

  • what brand of hand warmer do u use? utube mail me plz

  • It is called "EZHEET" (the handwarmer) kind find them at Walmart and Kmart, in the sporting goods section. Just ask them where the handwarmers are. Look at the little box it comes in-make sure it is a handsized BAG. Comes in another name besides ezheat. Is reusable :)

  • How much sodium acetate do you have to use if you have 1 Liter of water???

  • LOL! You need to make a video about that - i need to see it!

  • cool very cool

  • i think ts a wine glass with just supersatured sodium acetate all over it :)

  • Wouldn't you be able to see the base of the glass sitting on the plate? ;)

  • the base of the glass seems to be covered in sodium acetate too.

  • you're probably right.

  • im surprised it stayed standing

  • Now put it in a container and then put in microwave to recharge it :)

  • wait i don't get it....can u turn it back into liquid form by putting it in the microwave lol

  • Yes, I think you can return to liquid. I know that the chemical used in the handwarmers (same chemical) can be reset that way. Could also put in heavy plastic bag, then wrap in handtowel (to keep from melting plastic bag) then put into boiling water for few minutes (maybe under 3 minutes) just keep checking on it. EZHEAT is the name of the reusable handwarmers-using acitate

  • Oooops, using friends PC. Forgot to login. I am XRayCam. Yes I Am :)

  • Remember...if returning to liquid state by the boiling water method-put in sealed container(or bag)then in boiling water. Don't want to add more water to your concentrated chemical.

  • Very Nice CHALICE by the way.

  • thankyou...can i buy it anywhere else besides ebay?

  • DRINK OUT OF IT

  • O_O Cool how u made it?
