PVA Glue is children's school glue, it's that white syrupy one that was always messy as hell. The problem is that it takes so long to dry, so you really are better off getting the liquid latex from the start, and doing the effect right

Party City, I buy mine from a hallowwen kit that walgreen sells. It come with fake blood, blood that is safe to use in your mouth(it takes awful), liquid latex and some make up.

you should colour the wound in black in 1/3 of the wound, browny and maybe even a bit of purple around it (as skin does bruise when it is cut), it was all bright red, making it not look real, just adding more contrasting colours would have improved it

yeah, I agree it didn't look real..the red part anyways, the peeled away latex was a nice effect,...but give the guy some credit, he just dabbed on the red to give a half-assed example in two seconds..it's not like he claimed it would hollywood level examples..>.>

latex you can get online in larger amounts...or you can get some in holloween costume stores.. ive seen small bottles in stores aobout 5-6 bucks for a 1oz container. no it does not hurt to peel off.
