How was Tibet independent in 1948 when no country recognized it as such? Even a US Government WW2 propaganda movie states that Tibet is part of China. LOL! How did the communists loot Tibet? Tibet is so desolate and hard to get to in the past, it just wasn't economical to mine. It's agriculture is poor, making it almost unsuitable for farming. Which country recognized Tibetan passports? In fact I believe Tibetan officials used Republic of China passports. True, Tibet was de-facto independent between 1912-1949 but it never had dejure independence. As I said, China can mine its own territory. If they wanna mine Tibet, which they haven't previously done as much, so be it. The only way to solve the Tibet problem is to flood Huis and Hans into Tibet, and outnumber the Tibetans 10 to 1.

The passport was issued by the Kashag (Cabinet of Tibet), Lhasa, on 26th day of the 8th month of Fire Pig Year (Tibetan). The date coincides with October 10, 1947. The passport bears official stamps of recognition by countries like India, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Switzerland and France.

So all the countries on the passport recognised Tibet as a COUNTRY.
