I've been i Italy and i was so excited to eat pizza and pasta so when i actually got to try them out i was a bit disappointed.I don't rely think that the city you are in makes a huge difference beause i've been to Rome,Siena,Venice,Florence and Pompei and the food was pretty much the same. What i do believe though is that what i thought of the food there probably had to do with how i was used to eating that same thing back at home.Italy has some great dishes and there so many things to see!!!
Thank you so much for this! I'm in my first year of university and I was really considering studying abroad for a term. @TheFashionVavilon Oh really? Just because of that I simply already HAVE to like you! ;) as a proud Austrian which I am, you know. Where are you from? Well, actually I don't live in Vienna, I live in Graz, capital city of Styria, 2 hours driving from Vienna. But a city just as great (but not that big thank god) ;) But I suppose the New Year's party in Vienna is amazing, never have been to one, but it has to since it's Vienna. ;)
wow,i neve would´´ve imagined you studying architecture:D but that makes you evem more amazing....i like you more with every video:))) You should visit Spain too,it has amazing buildings,or maybe see Barcelona and Gaudi´s Park Güell ;)
Next time in Europe, you have to come to Austria! You may have never ever heard of Austria before :) no, just kidding. I would love to hear more about your experiences! I'm very interested in studying abroad, but my parents are a tad skeptical due to safety issues. How should I convince them? :)
I´ve been many places in Europe but never to the US, but i´m maybe going to the US next year and i´m also maybe going to study there for a year when i´m getting older! : ))
It's so strange that I come across this video today. In two days I'm going to the UK to study abroad for the next 3 years. And guess what? My major is Architecture. Lovely video, thanks for sharing!
I live in England and it makes me feel honored to be English at how much you love it and would like to move out here:) Feel free to stay with me:D haha
I decided to go backpacking through Europe with a friend...it ruined Europe for me. She was the worst person I could choose to go with, and she was so obsessed with seeing every country within a month that we spent a day in a lot of countries. Unfortunately Paris and London are 2 of the places that weren't given any justice, and I want to go back sometime.
You have to come to Portugal Ingrid. Definitely try our gastronomy, like "arroz de sarrabulho", I just love it!
This, is a link to a video where you can learn some common portuguese phrases, I know the girl is a little weird, but I think the video is just fine. Try it, and then say something.
I just studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a month and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I highly recommend taking the opportunity if you are given the chance!
I'm about to start my freshman year of college and I have always wanted to study abroad. My parents want me to also, so after seeing your video I'm definitely more comfortable with going!
I did an exchange in 2002 when I had just turned 18, to Germany for the year. It wasn't done often back then. You are the first person other than myself, whom shared my open minded and positive attitude about the experience. I lived with a family for a year and of the 52 student that went that year through EF, only 3 stayed with the same family or didn't go home early. Unbelievable huh? I guess adaptation is extremely difficult for some.
Well yes european men are more forward than americans and cadadians BUT it's mostly just Italians and the englishmen.. That's what I've experienced anyways =)
i think just being a student and being able to have independance aswell as getting the best friends, seems really fun. So doubling it up with a new country and beautiful scenery would just be amazing! When i'm old enough this is what i'm going to try and do; or atleast study somewhere further enough away from home so it isn't as expensive but you get the similar experience as you would being abroad.
Would you beleive me if I told you I was against studying aboard and now Im going to switzerland just because I watched this video? Haha love u ingrid!
i actually remember being speachless when i went to italy and germany, cuz of aaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the history behind them, and yes specially italian guy are like that. i remember, one italian guy wanted to marry me at the train station haha, wtf!
I plan to study abroad, but if that doesn't work out I want to go to london and base there for like a year, and like travel all over europe(: it's one of my goals.
people tht are considering coming to england shouldnt just look at the typical london or scotland.. those places are great but explore other places as well like cheltenham.. bath.. wales.. cornwall ( for the beach) and liverpool and Manchester for shopping! enjoyed the video :)
I've always loved art and math and have always considered architecture as a possible career path. But since I started watching you I have become really interested in becoming an architect. Only 2 years until university, I am so excited!!
Remember how you said you wanted to write a book, how about a travel book on your experiences? (: It would combine your main hobbies. Writing + Traveling = SUCCESS haha <3
OMG you are so lucky you went to UCL. I had the hardest time trying to get acepted, not for the undergraduate, but for the foundation.eventually I was not accepted. Now I hope I will study in Uni of Liverpool.. Do you know anything about it?? I think it is a pretty good uni. If I am lucky enough I will do my RIBA 2 at UCL coz I want it desparately :(
i wish my parents werent so strict and overprotective! i love them to death and all, but i doubt they would ever let me study abroad. and i swear, i would love every second of it. i have a passion for traveling and going to new places with new everythings... ive moved once in my 17 years of living and it was across town... i need to get out. my parents probably wouldnt even let me go on a road trip with friends honestly.

I guess adaptation is extremely difficult for some.

i think just being a student and being able to have independance aswell as getting the best friends, seems really fun. So doubling it up with a new country and beautiful scenery would just be amazing! When i'm old enough this is what i'm going to try and do; or atleast study somewhere further enough away from home so it isn't as expensive but you get the similar experience as you would being abroad.
