  • Lance Russell <3

  • wow all these wrestlers knew each other before they joined the wwf

  • like what a flash back CRAZZZYYY OOOOHH YEEEAAAAA

  • Does Lawler look shorter back then?

  • Deadspin sent me here

  • Whoever said they disliked this must hate paid vacation days, because what eles is better than this?

  • Randy was ahead of all three of the other legends here.

  • god, i never understood jerry lawler's appeal as a wrestler. boring as shit, aside from a piledriver or two.

savage was one of the best in history, and easy cut the best promos. that voice is golden.

  • @dchockeygoali07 Well you dont understand wrestling. Lawler is kinda like underground. He has wrestled and defeated every big name in the industry.

  • @Memphis49er i don't understand wrestling?

uh, yes. yes i do. and no matter who spins it, jerry lawler is boring as shit. lame gimmick, weak in-ring ability, no "it' factor.

there's a reason he was "underground," you know.

  • @dchockeygoali07

lol! Lawler is was and all ways will be...THE KING. You should bow before him because you are not worthy.

  • @dchockeygoali07 He is a great storyteller... and has a great gimmick... and can work the mic.... and was a great self promoter. You don't need flashy moves to tell a great story. He understands psychology.

  • This was wrestling. Not today's crap. I can't even handle more than 5 minutes of today's crap. I like a nice pair of tits like the next guy, but wrestling shouldn't be perverse or about sex. It should be "good guy" vs "bad guy". The "good guy" was a fan favourite who fought to protect himself, his friends, or fans, and the "bad guys" were hated by the fans and wanted to hurt the "good guy." That simple. I never had access to Memphis, NWA or AWA here in Toronto, so thanks Youtube.

  • @arheedee In my opinion, the ONLY positive things coming from today's WWE are the DVDs featuring the "old school" matches and interviews. I wonder if Vince knows that?

  • What a memories, this was the best! nothing compared to today's b/s I rather review these videos than watch the present wrestling shows.

  • savage threw just as good a punch as they say lawler does

  • @JRiggz108999 Most who worked in Memphis did. Dundee, Mantell, Idol, Taylor, Landell, Eaton, Rich, etc, etc, etc. All the Memphis regualrs could throguh great worked punches.

  • Memphis Wrestling is great, and that's coming from someone from the UK who was never brought up on it.

  • i agree with ddrock23

  • thank god i'm not 13 and watching wrestling again. enjoy the fun memories though. lol

  • wrestling i s very real you condescending prick they really beat the fuck out of each other at times!

  • @oldschool6804 better stop watching "wrastlin" and get some grammar skills

  • Goodness, I LOVE Memphis wrestling. I mean, these battles were always so wild, crazy, out of control and it just makes me so sick to have seen these SUPERSTARS become puppets to McMahon's creation in the late 80s

  • the fattest man in wrestling tagging with the leanest man in wrestling

  • this is bad ass lawler & savage

  • Lance could convince you that the man in teh ring was getting the hell beat out of him and you really thought it was real when you listened to him.

The best announcer by far, I feel blessed that I could grow up with Memphis wrestling in my home every Saturday.

  • many times it was real they used to beat the fuck out of each other and sometimes they still o!

  • Todd Grisham and Michael Cole are absolutely awful in the broadcast booth. Lance Russell, and UWF days of Jim Ross were awesome. Though I will say Bobby Heenan offered very funny color during matches or on Primetime with Gorilla Monsoon.

  • This is the type of wraslin I grew up with, not the "sports entertainment", that has taking away the fun out of being a wrestling fan.

  • I dont give a damn about WWE's and TNA's bullshit. This was the real deal!!!! And listening to Lance Russell makes me wish these corporate robots like Michael Cole and Todd Grisham would just fuck off.

  • You are so right drock. I grew up in the 80s in Tennessee watching Memphis wrestling. It is barnone the best era and territory in wrestling history. I love old NWA too but this stuff is still so fn good. Lance Russell is indeed a microphone god.

  • @ddrock23 , 1000000% agreed!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ddrock23 And I quote, "Michael Cole is the best heel announcer in wrestling history. Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura, and even that fat pudgy ball of goo Joel Gertner weren't good enough to shine Michael Cole's shoes."

All the reason to hate him. Heat baby.

  • @choice2099 oh i feel the same way you do now but that comment i wrote was 2 yrs ago when he was nothing but a robot repeating company tag lines lol. His thing with Lawler is one of the most must see things about Raw right now and he's generating heat a million times better than their current WWE champion. I still thinks he suck as a play by play man though.

  • No pyro, no titantrons, no fireworks, no long tunnels with flashing lights, no fancy looking rings, no writers backstage telling the boys every step of the match. Just raw, in your face, emotional action from start to finish! Ah how I miss wrestling as it once was!

  • preach on brother

  • You're sooooo right brother ! Memphis was the shit ! Some of the best brawls ever !!!!!

  • this is what it's supposed to look like in a "blood feud" match.....

  • The King lol Savage lol RUDE R.I.P
