  • Check out Good Morning Thailand - in 1965 Ubon Air Force Base in Ubon Thailand. We could not get AFRN so we did our on thing. Check it out. Click on bmorton5 and scroll down.

  • I saw the Vietnam War films. Now I understand everybody's been going through. All I wanted was to appreciate the event that happened during that time.

  • WOW! the original man himself. wow! wow! wow!

  • @platman16 this is 'one of' the original men. The call good morning vietnam was used on the morning dawnbuster show by all or almost all deejays through about 1972 then for unknown reasons it died away. Bob M AFVN 72/73

  • Sweet listening to this before you slug it out with charlie, knee deep in rice paddies

  • @metalgearhead1 this is the real thing. He was a great DJ

  • Cramer Haas! A true Icon, Mentor and friend, I will always remember the great times we had together! Walter Cronkite had a CBS special, tracking the original Good Morning Vietnam to Cramer. Nobody can take that away from him, NOBODY!

  • man when I go back to vietnam, I'm soooo going to say that first thing in the morning !!! WOOT

  • Kramer, you were great! Thank you very much. I remember listening to your program on my buddy's radio while on LZ West in Vietnam in 1968-69.

  • Thanks for a great video. A rare piece of history.

  • Don't give enough credit to Cronauer. This signature (goooooooooood morning vietnam) of the "Dawn Buster" program was initiated by Cronauer and then later picked up by other DJs. This signature signon was one of the things that made the program widely popular.

BTW... Pat Sajak was also one of the AFVN disc Jockies in 1968ish timeframe.

  • For a long time we had a Pat Sajak radio show posted to the net. Bob M

  • @Hathawulf By all accounts, Cronauer was a great deejay. More recently he was a special assistant in the department of defense, dealing with troops who are missing in action and the MIA's family members

  • My Friend and i we were kids hung out with Crammer a few times when he worked at y-100 what a nice guy, i remember he drove a vw bug with a missing front fender witch he kept in his closet LOL. I felt real sad when he passed away in the 90s

  • Cramer Hass..... Cramer "The Midday Man". Miami Radio: Y-100 / POWER 96. Love ya Babe.

  • ...wow...the real deal...
