Well I know some guys who landed it the first try with skis, well only thing was that they could do flat 5' before backflip and they were 15-16.

three major things to do that you aren't doing:

1. pop, this will help the rotation especially on a steep takeoff

2. don't wait until you're airborne to try to backflip, begin to throw yourself backwards just as you hit the jump and have strted your backflip by he time you hit the lip

3. throw yourself back more, backflips are really very easy, ms of the time when people bail its because they either over rotate (not spotting the landing) or do it half hearted, what we have here
