haha that's very right, but you can't really ask that question to someone's face when ultimately the choice to whether stay and pay or not is totally up to them. for a person like me who has a skill that can find me good income around the world, trust me i won't be here if there's a 20% tax hike. is life fair? i don't know, but it doesn't matter to me.
@spyletu there doesn't need to be a 20% tax hike. All we need to do is lift the cap from $106,000 to $500,000 which is what $106,000 was worth when the cap was set. The money is there in treasury bonds. The problem is the country is becoming too broke to pay back the U.S. Treasury Bonds to the Social Security Fund and to others, including China, who are holding them. It's not a Ponzi scheme--that's not what a Ponzi scheme is.
