  • They're so cheap to make, yet so much fun

  • Why buy a hexbug nano when you can make a bristlebot that works the same way, but costs less!

  • heyyy please i want to buy two from you??? $10 each??

  • Just build like 1,000 of those, and let them loose at the same time. You'd never have to wax your floor again!

  • Battery and motor should be switched around

  • I made one to, and its awesome

    cool video by the way, mine goes about the same speed as yours

  • i made a BristleBot but i used a AAA battery and its not as fast and i put a switch on it so i can actually turn it off

  • Nice video and cool bristlebot. I just got a few PS controllers and am about to take out the motors for more bristlebots, myself.

  • The motors are in PS2 controlers so if you have a old one you can just take of the corver and it is in the handles.

  • cool! i just got my order of motors and thought this would be a cool school project.

  • Awesome! Let me know how it goes :D

  • Está bien, es interesante si.. pero, me podrías explicar cuál es su utilidad, por favor? =S

  • Buenos Dias! Thank you for the nice comment! Me no hablo espanol bueno.

    Me utilise uno toothbrush & cell phone vibrator motor (DC)

    ~~~
    I used a top of a toothbrush and a small vibrating DC motor
    Esta me bueno?
    ~~~

    Was my explanation good?

    If you need more information, just ask :D I'll try my best in spanish.

  • Cute Bot video! I love the idea of it randomly throwing itself across the room pitifully trying to scrub the floors. Nice music too.

  • Thanks! Yeah... it actually did pick up a lot of dust, which is quite freaky!

    And thanks about the music! I made it in Garageband :D

  • how do you turn on and off, this one is cool, how much was all the parts?

  • Excellent question!! To turn it on and off I just remove the battery :) The only switches around my place were too big and bulky, which would have an effect on the BristleBot! I'm guessing that all the parts were max $5 :)

    PS: I'm a fan of Animal Crossing too! (Especially Wild World!)

  • ima make a big one from a broom ;D then i can charge my mum like £5 to do the floor :P an i wont have to do any chores yay!

  • Hahaha! Neat idea.

    I think she would be more pleased with a swiffer though! That way, the cleaner cloths are replaceable when they get too dusty :D

    Oh yeah, and you may need lots of vibrating motors... or get 2 and make 4 wheels/tracks ;)

  • first post! ;D

    i wanna make one of these :( but my parents wont let me take my fone appart or my toothbrush :(

  • Heheh! Well, it's pretty simple - I went to my local electronics store, checked in the DC motors aisle and the smallest ones there were the vibrating motors :)

    The toothbrush was pretty simple - just pick up a funky one from the pharmacy and cut it. (I cut mine with scissors)

    ... And lastly, the battery I bought in the dollar store :)

    Good luck, and let me know how yours turns out!!!
