The Avatar does have a sync kill against the Bloodthirster, i've seen it before. They exchange a few blows until the Bloodthirster knocks the Avatar to the ground and before it can bring its axe down, the Avatar quickly stabs it through the chest.

in return the bloodthirster is more mobile and a little better at killing other infantry units because he has more area attacks

farseer vs commanders:

farseer wins because she can use her mind war ability wich allows her to almost instantly kill any enemy commander

she has those abilities in return for less individual combat powers

The Eldar Avatar of Kaela Mensha Khaine (I'm an Eldar player in both DoW and TableTop) lost to the Bloodthirster, because it has a 'stunned' animation. The Bloodthirster hasn't one. So it's quite unfair.

I will be honest, it is indeed true that in a normal full strength fight, the avatar of Khaine would win with hands tied behind it's back, but there is no sync animation for the fight.  It seems that the makers of DOW only gave cool sync animations when an underdog beat a bigger foe.

It would be clearer if u watched it in high quality (click watch in high quality). I have a bought version of FRAPS. Everyone is whining about it so much, but it is actually really good at a 50 frames per second recording. It was recorded into high quality large res .avi format, then converted into .wma for a smaller file size and voila, u have a dvd quality video
