My main reason for growing determinate plants.......usually rutgers for the acidity, is to have a lot at once ripening so I can do all my tomato canning at one time.
You might want to start saving your seeds from the best tomato on the best plant for your area.... they'll do better. Also make sure they are a free pollinated heirloom variety. If you are growing a garden, at least make sure the food you grow hasn't been genetically altered.
