I took video here back in 1991 of a deadhead train going west behind an MP-15 powerpack with a GP-38 pushing. The station still had a low-level platform and the train was doing about 60 through here.

The 11:51 or somewhere around then. I don't know exactly what it is now but when I was a kid it was the 11:51.

any reason why the engineer increased the light intensity pulling into the station?

They do this all the time even on the babylon branch. I would assume it is to alert people that the train is coming, on the babylon branch they don't really use the horn but they do the lights like that.
