I've always wondered how zombies can tell a zombie from a regular person. Because zombies don't have like working brains, right? So how can they decide what human and what is zombie? They would really just attack both. I don't know maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that's how it would be.
i really want to aske these guys (brooks in particular) that if a zombie bites some one with a preexisting virus, or just mixes zombie virus with another then infects someone, how would the virus alter. because the reason we have so many std's these days is because there were 2 stds, they mixed & made more, they mixed and made more and so on. but if ,say, herpies(cold sores or geletal) mixes w/zombie virus, what would happen? wut bout cold/flu? aids or mono(hehe, Zak's tired)? wut do yall think?
He's wrong. The Zombies in the Romero movies can't be killed by destroying the brains, so they aren't eating there own reinforcements. Romero Zombies are addicted to Brains because 'it makes the pain go away' it hurts to be dead and there is a logic behind it. The Zombies from the other movies eat the entire bodies. Hows that going to help reinforcements
@Hamilton7776 you're wrong, return WAS NOT MADE BY ROMERO, they DO die from head shots, Romero Zombies EAT THE WHOLE BODY. have you seen night of the living dead, where the zombies are ripping out and eating the intestins of someone?
@papersplease well, if you think about it romero's zombies think and reason, but they dont talk (except for "ello aun alli-a"(hello aut alicia, from day of the dead))
@krypticzisback when every said you'de be the first to die it wasn't a warning, or a threat, they were just letting you know that the moment they found a good reason they would use their epic voodo and track you through youtube, fing you and... another man done gone.
@trentster - Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But as far as it goes, ROTLD (the original) is a parody that has a BIG cult following. It's black comedy with violence that turns serious. I love the original Dead trilogy (the 3 subsequent follow ups "Land/Diary/Survival" faired no better than the usual Jason/Freddy/Pinhead sequels and Fulci's Zombi series). If you can't poke fun at seriousness and the genre classics, what can you do?
Some dudes take it too seriously - ROTLD was a black comedy/parody of NOTLD. Dan O'Bannon (R.I.P) took it all away from Romero's "Dead" duo (as it was at the time - post production was complete before Romero had finished filmed Day of the Dead).
The zombie genre was around way before NOTLD, like E.C Comics. Just because it isn't part of The "Dead" Saga or Romero's Dead franchise, doesn't mean it's stupid - LONG LIVE "THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD"... well, the first one anyway...
Fido and Shaun of the Dead are awesome, they are such freaking good movies. I'm always dumbstruck when someone that claims to be a zombie movies' fan tells me that they have never watched either. IMO these two movies don't get enough recognition.
@kingrex2005 No way.. It's not the greatest, but it did something that I've always liked: made it so you have to totally incinerate the zombie to "kill" it. And it was really the first zom-com. And it has one of the greatest zombies-coming-out-of-graves scenes ever put to film.
@liquidpig Not even incinerating the body killed it. The smoke climbed into the air and mixed with rain, creating a Acid-rain effect to humans and a fertilizer for zombies. What I really hated was the ending. You just nuked the east coast, full of innocents, just to kill off the undead?
@kingrex2005 Well, I mean that's the only way you could "kill" or stop the zombies, not necessarily the affects of the Trioxin. If they would've burned the bodies somewhere where it couldn't get into the atmosphere the affects might have been different.
Sure they nuked the east coast.. it's either that, or face apocalypse. The zombies were obviously spreading pretty rapidly, so they had to resort to drastic measures. It's not pretty, but it's better than killing the entire human race.
@kingrex2005 better several thousand deaths than the end of the human race, im guessing, would be the thinking. However, one would assume that after many years of testing, they would know the ash and the gasses would not stop the trioxin. Actually in part 3, when they incinerate the dead, they use biofilters on the the cremators

The Zombies in ROTLD had cognition. They could talk and reason. That's what made it stupid to me. But it helped the movie along as a comedy.

@Trentster - ROTLD1 DUMB and the others good? That's like comparing The Phantom Menace to The Empire Strikes Back. Each to their own.
Gotta agree that the panels knowledge of Zombie cinema is as accurate as a trying to catch a fart in a jar.
