Even I am not photographer but I like Bryan and Mark's videos and tips. They take their times and share experience with you guys for free, at least respect their time and effort.
Why doesn't anyone like this video? I think it's an awesome idea/will be trying it very soon! It's more of a painting then it is a picture :P Good stuff Bryan!
Seems like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and shooting this video down. Is it cool to be like everyone else? Look people this is not meant to be a game changer. Its just an 'idea' and with 'ideas' comes creativity. You can take an 'idea' and expand on it or you can just throw it away. For some reason everyone thinks that art has a right and a wrong. Do what you want and shut the fuck up.
quite the polarizing video apparently! I for one found it to be a quick, interesting video on a few techniques that can give some interesting results while playing with color and soft composition
this is not impressionism... this is like you ate 50 bags of skittles and then shit on your camera sensor... art or not, you cant tell me you would have those photos hanging on your walls... horrible.
To all the haters: I see the title ARTISTIC EFFECTS for this video... so that is WHAT I EXPECTED TO SEE. I'm sorry your egos weren't satiated with some 85-point light metered uber-shot that stroked your narcissism in the end.
Good video, Bryan... and I want to thank you for writing your books... they've been instrumental in shaping my photographic mind/skills/ability.
@hermeneia4life i agree. all the people now think they are professional and this stuff is too simple and stupid for them. most of them still cant distinguish between a hose and a lens and now they just comment BS. i personally like it and enjoyed it.
Bryan has demonstrated two of these techniques before, the multiple shot technique is practiced by Tony Sweet with amazing effects. It's pretty obvious by the comments that the mean age of the audience here is about 13 years old. Perhaps when they grow up and learn what fine art photography is, they just may appreciate what Bryan has shared.
BTW, the image stacking technique can be done with any camera in post. I use a Photoshop action to automate the process.
lets remember that these tutorials are meant to inspire new creativity, and just because some of us know how to mess with exposures, shutter speeds, aperture etc doesn't mean that everyone else does too. Bryan is just trying to teach everyone in general not just professional stuff. Great job bryan keep the great work up!
I prefer lessons on lighting, like the 2 first episodes. I think adorama can profit from teaching us those techniques. Eventually we will buy stuff......
Believe it or not, beginners (like me) watch Adorama TV, and I appreciate this sort of basic video, and I think it's cool that someone as talented and experienced as Bryan Peterson would take the time to show ways to show beginners how be creative with a camera. As he does in many of his tutorials, he is encouraging creative thinking with the camera, and this is just another example of that. If you don't get anything from it, just move on to another video!
I bet 90% of the haters here take the same clichéd shitty photos every time they are out shooting, at least Bryan gives a bit of variation, if you don't like it please don't bitch
huh....ummm...whatt the...zoom? Uhm..okay that was really really really basic- uselful maybe for someone who's holding a DSLR for the first time but.... not for the majority of adorama viewiers man, seriously
HAHAHA, and here I am thinking that moronic and hateful comments were limited to discussions of politics and religion. Thanks guys, you made my year. ;D
In all seriousness, you haters should seek help, you might have PTSD. Symptoms of PTSD include, but are not limited to, aggression and irritability. The fact that this video caused you to express these symptoms, is just beyond comprehension.
Bryan, thanks for the tidbits. Much appreciated. ;)
GUYS GUYS.. Its just a concept and a technique. You can achieve some really Amazing results with this technique for certain night shots.. Check out some of Evan Sharboneau's works with similar techniques..
@wholecube Did I indicate that I was better? Can't people have opinions? If you like it, great! If you hate it, that's fine too. I'm obviously subscribed to this channel to learn things. If there is something that is new to me where I find beneficial, I'll leave a positive comment. Some of Bryan's techniques are great, I just do not like this one and how it is executed. I'm glad you enjoyed this video and hope you can find some way to implement this in your life.
