I have the Digilife DDV-V3HD and have had it for a year and now it won't record video and locks up and won't turn off i have to remove the battery to get it to turn off. WHERE CAN I GET THIS REPAIRED!!!! Digilife doesn't return email!!! HELP Please
Those are American prices, in 2008 I think. For Europe, I don't think it's available still within Europe, but ordering from overseas will come to around £140 (U.K. pounds) or just over $200. As far as I know it's still popular in sales in Indonesia and probably China, maybe Japan, is sold in U.S.A., hard to find. There are better cameras these days in the same one hand format, around the same size, worth paying the extra for, but this is / was so cute and a great historical happening!
Could not agree more, as I look back on this its a memory, a good one. prices are well over 200.00 usc today iffound. and they now go by orther branded names.
60fps in DVD mode is not a slow mot it allowsyou to capture fast motion stopping the Rollingshutter. no sample of the Digilife as I no longer own i have made a vid with the Action HD deep in the youtube vids about a few pages if not vimeo.
I was just wondering if you have tested playing things in slow motion? I am looking to record myself bowling and use slow motion play back to pick out any flaws in my release. Do you have any samples of the quality of the slow motion play back? Thanks if you could show some!
The actual quality of this camera is so good it makes me laugh. The reason being is that we normally use cameras in the tens of thousands of pounds mark!
For the money this camera is a dream.
However, it only does 60fps in standard definition, there is no audio input and no optical zoom but then what did you expect for this bargain price.
It does have a neat feature in AV in so you can record things onto the device but then only in standard definintion.
No, I do not use the stabilizer at all when owned. I am learning to control shots better , closer to the body and taking mor time, we tend to rush, and reason why video shakes.
Was the image stabilization turned on during the street tests when the camera was hand held? Video seems so much steadier than the samples I've seen from Flip Mino cams.
Ido the same I use the cams in many scenrios' and it helpsothers decide there choice. the Aiptek seems to be the best choice, and best bang for the buck.
As usually an excellent review of the Camcorder. But I agree the audio seems poor. The Aiptek Action HD has a more sensitive mic, but outdoors the audio is better. Regards Robert
Good quality in video, but bad quality in audio. I don't know if Aiptek has anything to do with the Digilife Camera, regarding the hardware similarities. But, I would buy the Aiptek AHD, if the price goes to $99 dollars. That's what cost me the MPVR+ model.
Agreed. I actually bought an Aiptek A-HD off of Amazon, your reviews were really helpful and Vimeo videos convinced me of the quality, and I will compensate for the sound by recording the sound on a Zoom H2 and will synchronize audio and video in post. I've ordered both from the US and they're currently stuck in Canadian customs at the moment, hoping it won't take so long to get it cleared and I'm hoping they won't slap some kind of fee on it!
u r funny as hell.

Thank you for the comment Zer......
It is just that. and, paying more for less, I would go with the Aiptek A-HD+

Wow, the audio on this seems even worst then the Aiptek! For the last part, I don't really hear anything... :/
