  • I still think the real legend there was Alan Hull. What a beautiful songwriter he was.

  • the great Mike Neville!!

  • my god. mike bloody neville

  • I was at this. Age 17. My first outdoor do. went from Manchester on t' national express with Lucy Prestwich. Sun set during Santana's 'Samba Pa Ti' and people silhouetted dancing on a roof next door to the satdium. Happy memories. So sad that Alan Hull died so young.

  • Alan Hull and Jacka, hehe, remember those days!

  • I was there & one of only about 10 people clapping & cheering along to wor lads (Lindisfarne, that is) I didn't like Santana, mind, they made me fall asleep... Dylan was bloody good though =)Happy memories indeed... I've still got the programme...

  • I was there, first outdoor concert I ever went to: Bought a bottle of gin from the Co-Op on Newgate street and was wrecked by the time Dylan was on stage. July 5th 1984, still have my programme covered in booze stains and chocolate.

  • Now then... are you SURE it's chocolate :D

  • from a time when the mustachey faces & the working mens club ruled & when Dylan was on fire, i was too young for a tach but i love looking at these times they remind me of my Dad, Iv got a friend who went to this gig

  • I could listen all day to their great Geordie (Newcastle) accents.

  • Alan Hull We all miss you!

  • Probably one of the best stadium concerts I ever went to.Lindisfarne,Santana and Dylan on the same bill and the weather was brilliant,Happy memories :-)
