  • was the choke on from 14 secs to 25 secs?

What you are hearing is him purging the NOS into the motor. If I remember correctly, we had way too much bottle pressure and thus the reason for the excessive purging.

  • ok i know exactly what you're talkin about; instead of purging out into the open air, your doing it through the engine. thanks

  • Search 8.57 and see how the Challenger street car does it. Yeah he has a video of a 25 mile road trip and an effortless 8.57 with the same car.

And? I'm not sure I understand where you are going with your comment.

  • Just saying the Mopar makes it look easy and your Camaro sounds like it is about to blow up. I don't even like Mopar, but that video is impressive. Thought you might like to see it.

  • Search Larry Larson and watch a car that just got done driving over 1000 miles run a 7.3 @204 lol

I remember reading about that car in a feature from Hot Rod. Turbos and a well tuned DFI system definitely allow for such a dual combination ride like that.

Props to him for taking the time to build a pretty amazing piece of machinery.

  • 8.50's and the tail lights still work ,, priceless

And the headlights, and the windows, interior, etc.

    :-)

  • Ony one word to describe this old school Camaro - BADASS!!! Well maybe two -Badass & FINE!!!

  • Search 8.57 You will see a Challenger. Several videos including a dyno. It runs consistent 8.50s, then goes to the store for groceries.

  • And Dan Millen has videos of him driving his Outlaw car to Burger King in Michigan (in Winter).

    8.50's is 8.50's. Except we have 164mph...

  • I watched your videos. Most of them were 8.50s and 150 MPH. The gentle wheel stands are cool.

  • I suggest you take some time and look up our round by round information at the 2008 Shakedown @ ETown. If it's anything under 160mph, we are usually scrubbing it on the top end.

    Flat out usually is 8.50 : 8.53 @ 162mph : 164mph.

Thanks for the complement on the wheel stands however.
