I think the reason Otacon called Snake about changing the discs was that in the first MGS game, this was the place where you had to change them. PS1 used CD-ROMs and the PS3 has the excellent Blu-Ray discs.

Yeahh it is great, I loved the shadow moses remake in mgs4 :D Brill graphics and they didn't change much but, Why did it take 20 minutes to start from the Begining of shadow moses to find metal gear rex and it took like 3-5 hours on the first series :S

well 2 more games are still coming out, one for the PSP, named peace walker, and another for XBOX 360 and PS3 named Metal Gear Solid Rising with Raiden as the protagonist. Idk if this true or not, but they said that MGSR is gonna take place before or meanwhile MGS4. Which sucks... but if it is true i'm sure MGS6 is gonna be out too with another plot and maybe the actual future is shown after msg4. We all hope atleast if not MGS6, another new total story with Raiden in it.

Kojima's character is snake, and he plans to retire from being a director type thing, or he already is.AND if he had put up snake for the next MGS, the other directors would mess up snakes characteristics and stuff etc., and it represents him.You must have heard the thing long time. Although Kojima will still have roles of a producer, or lower than that. That pretty much sums it up, there's lots and lots of things in MGS series MGS is the best game :)

I don't mind changing a disc since it only takes a few seconds. Anyways ...I could say the same thing about a single disc game. I just think that installing a certain part of a game seems like a step back from changing discs. Why can't single disc game work like they did last gen.

I been playing this game and his right about not changing discs! Instead we have to wait for a certain part of the game to be install after every chapter for a few minutes!! I preffer changing discs rather than waiting for the game to be install even if it only takes a few minutes.

But don't forget, the bluray disc can hold 50 GB of info. Do you really want to change up to six discs? What if one gets damaged? I think waiting a few minutes is probably better in the long run. The loading is only due to the fact that MGS4 is such a long game (at least as far as the movies and cutscenes go).
