she may not have gotten the lyrics wrong, it may have been a legal reason for the change.

one example is in the song "land of confusion". the original song was done by genesis, and disturbed has done a remake of the song. in the new version, there is a single, very subtle line change.

I actually liked this version. Of course Madonna sings it better, but they didn't too bad. I'm in that mesh of people somewhere, on the left side. But being so dark I can't see where I am, haha.
