My mum is under 50 and has a brain tumor on her left frontal lobe, a surgeon said it was and too dangerous t operate on and has given her about 5 years to live, how could I find out if cyberknife could be effective for her condition?
Hope your mom is doing well now and was able to try this. Stay positive! My father will be having this done in the next couple of weeks. Praying this thing works good. He is 83 years old.
Hello, I am sorry about your mother. There are two CyberKnife's in the UK, Harley Street and London Clinic. You should be able to contact these centers directly and request that they review her case. Best wishes, Catherine
Yes, there is one on operation in Montreal: CHUM- Centre Hospital University of Montreal, Notre Dame, Jean Paul Bahary, Head Rad Onc, Jean Guy Villemure, Neuro, 514-890-8000, x25740
My sister is getting her first treatment with Cyberknife today. We are all praying it cures her, she's 49 with tumors on her spine. and Brutus yes we all hope we can say "She's sick but she'll be okay".
I thank the man who invented it at Stanford Univ. Wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy.
Hi ALL - the Cyberknife is amazing new technology. It is now available in Fort Lauderdale, FL area (Broward County) at Broward Health, North Broward Medical Center on Sample and I-95. Call 954-759-7400.
Well f you can afford the sessions which I heard it cost at least 2000 euro per session for 5 sessions (thats the approximaite time it needs to cure) and your canser is not higly developed yet, this machine is your God
Is it just me or is cancer becoming the new plague? It used to be this huge enigma that was extremely hard to treat--much less define--, but now because of CyberKnife, it's just like, "Okay, I'm sick, but I'll be okay."
Welcome to the future! It's about time technology like this becomes a reality! I hope it becaomes a pervasive opportunity for everyone who can benefit from such a robot!
it's this good also for a rectus diastasis and hernias?? thanks

where does the tumor go?

It varies and could die by shrinking in size; it could calcify or completely disappear.
