Dark Souls is a great game and I believe it deserves GOTY if not RPG of the Year. The end result of what your character becomes and what you began with is mind bottling. I feel sorry for anyone who has too chose between Skyrim and Dark Souls. It has a different distinction from Skyrim, so much that it can go toe to toe with it in a sword fight. Both games deserve to be played and enjoyed.
@mikey5014 They really should release it on the PC. I think they think people would just mod the shit out of it and make it some retarded easy mode game. Still the PC crew would eat this up.
i got this game and its such a tough game .. but it worths it if u learn from ur mistakes and beat bosses.... but i started as a pyromancer.. is it a good class?
@digitalmadnessRJ Nah, Demons Souls was stupid hard at times but Dark Souls, as long as your IQ is over 9, and you observe your enemies you can do it.
@digitalmadnessRJ Well, I personally don't understand the fuss. I finished it with relative ease, but I finished Demons Souls and then some, so I am at an advantage from the get go. To put it simply the more patience you have the easier it is. If you have the skills required to parry, shield kick, shield bash and back stab, even if you only know how to back stab the game is even faster paced and you feel like quite the badass. Skill or Patience = Reward. Recklessness and/or stupidity = fail.
@OZORxORON I haven't run into any problems, though I haven't tried invading/being invaded. I don't think the online features are really the defining part of the game, though.

When you need to buy stones for 3000 souls each, but they have a one time use and will most likely end in a fail, the game is broken. When the game says on the back of the cover that it has innovative online features, but they fail to work 9 times out of 10, then that game is broken.
@OZORxORON There's your problem. If you want to invade someone, don't fail. You can't blame the game because you get killed when you invade someone, hell if you can't kill people wait for them to die of their own devices. The online features work great and you can help players defeat bosses and use the souls to get stronger.

. They do not work great, when they do work though, it's very fun. When you put a soul sign down, it will take on average around 20-40 minutes to be summoned, and that's assuming you're in an area that is sharing the same level as you. The 10% within your level range is a terrible idea, the P2P system was idiotic, and summoning people fails way too often. Just check the p2d forum, I'm not alone.
So this is like DemonSouls 2.0 ?
