How heartbreaking. Sending my very best to the family. -- And on a side note, WMG should be ashamed for blocking the audio on a children's memorial video. There are times when profit doesn't matter.
I live about 10 miles from the Hance family. I attended their children's wake that experience allowed me to embrace my own child even more. Stop arguing about what should or should not happen to person responsible and focus on forging ahead by not drinking and driving. The life or lives you save could be your own.
This is so sad! Im so sorry for their loss I wanna say God Bless that family! <3 and all you people out there with SICK minds should be ashamed of themselves! <3 <3 <3 R.I.P
First of all R.I.P to all the victims of this tragedy , may God bless there souls , Life is such a random chain of events so i Pray that the Hance Family holds no guilt for the events that happened that day , There was nothing more you could have done. I pray for you and your family to heal together through the process , knowing you will one day be reunited with your baby girls ... Enjoy the time you have with each other ... God will take care of Emma, Alyson, Kate and Erin .God Bless
@Brentsey you keep commenting on these videos because you waste your life away, and i think i speak for everyone when i say SHUT UP AND GO WASTE YOUR LIFE DOING SOMETING ELSE.
I feel so deeply that some of this sad debate is so cruel and insensative towards the parents and families of those who perished that day. There can be no real justice or vindication for the actions of Diane Schuler, proven guilty by toxicology-d.n.a results, not once but twice. Diane's brother and wife trusted her with thier most precious of gifts, the lives of thier children. I ask those Diane fans to ask themselves how they could ever find such love or pitty for one who betrayed such trust.
@swall0wedinthesea- I call what Diane did " Cottage Syndrome" because over the years I have witnessed it time and time again. Those people who take risks and get away with it often give themselves some sense of false safety. They do make it home most often, but on those rare occasions that they don't, it always ends in some form of tragedy or death. Diane Schuler made an informed decision to drive while high and drunk and killed 7 innocent people and herself. Sympathy for Diane? I think not..
This is just beyond tragic.. The husband of Diane Schuler and all others in that family who are making excuses for Diane should be beyond ashamed of themselves. It matters not if she was a drug addict or alcoholic. They can attempt to hide that until the day they die. What is IMPORTANT IS that Diane Shuler was drink and high the day she drove with those kids in the van and she alone responsible for thier tragic deaths. If there is a God may he bring justice and wrath down on Diane Schuler!!
@davekat I don't believe that Diane needs the wrath of God. I believe that she needed God to guide her in her decisions, which obviously he didn't. She wasn't in her right state of mind when she killed her nieces and daughter, obviously. But her husband should NOT be seeking money out of the Hance family... he is such a disgrace to the human race. Thank you for your comment. x
@MarkNESStarFox Diane's husband is suing the Hance family. The family his wife killed. His nieces' parents. I'm not being sexist at all. He's disgusting for even thinking of asking for money.
I am so hurt & sorry those girls are beautiful little angels & i just want to say may they rest in peace! I don't know how the parents wake up everyday the pain they go through i have no words!
@PBARBII3TV Thank you for the lovely comment. These girls meant a lot in the lives of everyone that knew them. And Jackie and Warren Hance (the parents of these girls) were happy to announce that they are expecting a child to be born. I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
@swall0wedinthesea OMG that just made my day im so happy for Jackie & Warren & i wish them nothing but, the best with the little angel GOD has blessed them with! The girls can watch over their mom & dad & new sister or brother! I am really so happy for them again best wishes made me smile so big to hear they are expecting!!!
Diane Schuler’s husband's embarrassing denial and display of ignorance, coupled with his shameful current behavior as he pursues litigation against New York State and the Hances, makes this tragedy that much worse. That is in contrast to the Hance's courage and class! At least the Hance’s have begun to rebuild, but I don’t know how. We all miss and mourn the loss of those beautiful girls. Thank you for posting this wonderful tribute as we all try to make sense of the unthinkable.
Ms. Garbus created an absolutely stirring documentary about one of society’s greatest ills: the abuse and misuse of drugs and alcohol. This condition is exacerbated by family members who exhibit one or all of the following: denial, enabling, and fear. Ms. Garbus’ documentary will hopefully mitigate any one of these by giving viewers prior knowledge should any one of us be confronted with such an individual. Diane Schuler ruined so many lives, also affecting viewers so saddened by this tragedy.
At first i was upset that YouTube removed the music due to copy right issues..after watching the video I realize now the silence spoke volumes and the pictures told the story of these 3 beautiful young girls. I don't know if you knew these girls personally..if you did, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was so angry after watching the HBO documentary this weekend because they did not tell the story of the little lives lost. Thank you for sharing this. RIP little angels and all that lost their lives.
@dbritton41 I knew Emma personally, and the tragic news had an unbelievable affect on people who did and didn't know them. I couldn't bring myself to watch the HBO documentary, but I know they also did a Law and Order episode. I think that the lesson here is to not drink and drive. These girls were so beautiful and had maybe a good 80 or 90 years in front of them. Thanks for the nice comment x
@swall0wedinthesea Oh, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine the pain the family and friends have been through with this horrible tragedy.. especially because it could have been prevented. There are no words for how much sadness I feel for these families that lost their loved ones. Hopefully, people start to get the message about drinking and driving or being under any substance and going behind the wheel. My prayers go out to you and the families.
@dbritton41 Should it really take a tragedy such as this to inform others or the hazards or driving while high or drunk? There is much more beneath the surface here.. something darkly tragic. They trusted this woman with the lives of thier children. Most parents fear losing any of thier children. I cannot imagine losing all three and having to live with the fact that a trusted family member was to blame. I wonder what toons people would be singing if Diane had also lived. Sympathy? I think not.
