"designed by a Victorian bloke.....in a tall hat" surely that sums it up quite nicely. It seems to me that mr. Brunel did indeed not only design much of what we consider modern, I find it plausible that his very approach to engineering questions made him one of the first truly "modern" visionaries. Notwithstanding the achievements by many others, mr. Brunel's works have this rather extraordinary vision of a better world build into them ages before that world came to be.
The music at the beginning of this part sounds like John Adams.
