The good old core 2 duo wolfdale cpu, old but sill good (and Fast), and can hit 4.0 ghz on air amazing how good it is even in 2012. Intel did a good job with the core 2 duo.
@mennogamer559 If you can get that E8400 to about 4Ghz it will run everything without a bottleneck with a 9800GT. however if you put a GTX570 or a 560Ti in it, then it will defiantly have some bottleneck on some games like GTA IV, and Crysis 2 will be a slight bottleneck. However in my opinion if you have an E8400 it should still run the majority of programs with no issue, just don't expect it to be as smooth or as fast as a quad core in certain games. The More video power, the more cpu usage.

it cost you ab out 40€ and 4 gig of ram cost about 20€. The core 2 duo cost about 150€ the phenom 2 cost 90-100€. it cost about the same and is much faster. And "in 3 years i buy i7" is no reason to buy shit today. And if you want to buy something like that you got to have some money. The e8400 is at least no much faster than the pentium is.

the ghz is not the problem. 2 cores are not enought! bc2 for example renders on core 1 and 2 the game (physics etc) on core 3 the sound (and battlefield 3 wil have an exellent sound,too) and the 4th core sos for the connection etc. on 4 cores it runs realy smmoth. And on to cores it runds not so smooth like on the intel. Trust me i own them boght. You can get the P2 for the same (!) price with actuall mainboar and fast ddr 3 ram,why not boughting it?

@LectRazZz no it cant. I own them bouth and the phenom is in games MUCH faster. I got 40 (!) fps more in bc2 and 30 more in gta4. Intel is good but the amd is better. If you want to buy a new cpu buy the intel core i5 2500k its very fast and based on new mainboards. The core 2 duo is 5 years old. ITs only so expensive because they dont make it anymore.
@Jungelsucks you should take the cpu and get it back to the shop. Buy a new Mainboard and Amd phneom2 x4 955 its cheap and much faster than the e8400.
And yes you can run a 64bit cpu. It only says that you can run a 64bit system,too.

Its self built ;) If you will buy a pc build it self and use one amd phenom 2 x4 and BRAND psu and so on. You can get more for your money and i bought used things so GL :)

i think the mhz are not enought to risk it. If i overclock my pc i use the 1066 yes but when i do it my psu is doing scary sounds xD (lc power power xD)

You may have a super pc, but hey, i am going to have 2 cars, and a new thousand dollar bed. And, eventually, i WILL upgrade my computer. and i don't really care about your pc, as there is MANY videos showing video gaming on the pc already :/

i know the problem was that icould only record 30 secondsx and i hope its enought to show how it is in orgrimmar with many other palyers. watch on the chars and youj see how smooth it is. i only get 30 fps cause i recorded with fraps on the same hdd.
