RDR is a videogame to many ppl. To me its more than that. RDR is like a book, it can be foreshadowed or read in many ways. Its Ambiguous, its everything as I previously commented.

Ppl can say Mario, Gordon Freeman, Masterchief, Link, Nathan Drake Commander Shephard, etc.

John Marston is the best because he is heroic, kind, philosophical(many characters don't have that), and is willing to move on with his life.

To be honest John Marston dying is like how the videogame world lost its originality.

From 1985-2010 its been a long time to see a great videogame.  RDR is in my opinion the last original video game because of everything it practically is. Now videogames are distorted like it lost most of the concepts of what makes a videogame fun. In my opinion, John Marston is the best video game character of all time. Yes I play retro and modern video games. RDR = a piece of art.

Graphics have NOTHING to do with what makes a good game. Content, and gameplay is what makes a game, and trust me GTA SanAndreas has 8X the content RDR had, not to offend. RDR is an masterpiece, but GTA SA is on another level.

I hated the end, or no. I just want to be able to play as John again. I think that John was a way better character then Jack. But I think that Red Dead Redemption 2 is as sure as death (Seth) and taxes! I sure hope so! I would also like a red dead redemption where you play as John before he starts working for the state!

A friend of mine convinced me to try this game. I was reluctant since I knew about GTA and I absolutely despise those games. He convinced me to at least see the horses in the game (yes, I'm a woman), saying he was so impressed with how realistic they were. I went "Pfff...we shall see".

Now 3 months later, I have 2 RDR save files on 100% completed, 2 Undead Nightmare save files on 100% and one where John is still normal but with all the apocalypse horses.

This game is a masterpiece.

You do realise Red Dead Redemption is the second Red Dead game?

Red Dead Revolver came out first, too many people forget that!

They cant really do a sequel as the Old West is just ending in Red Dead Redemption at the turn of World War One

I think they should move onto a new character and story and make a prequel. The game should be same sort of area (Texas, Mexico, also cool if you got to do the trail to California) and set it in the 1880s

@NinjaMuzz, They can go up until 1920 when the west officially ended. The frontier was considered "setteld" in 1899, but the west was still extremelly dangerous, up till 1920 when the Mexican Revolution ended, and remaining outlaws were being increasingly violent (But this violence was sporadic).
