@griffihn Touhou Otomebayashi is a CD by IOSYS, based around the series of game, but it's not actual music from the game. Although most (all?) of their music is based loosely on a music track(s) from the series.

I love the 'normal' singing part, but of the Gratuitous Engrish I have mixed feelings. It sounds kind of ridiculous but kind of cool at the same time. If I had to put it in one phrase, I'd say it's 'stupidly amazing'. So overall the whole song would be 'amazingly amazing'. =D

You should try it. It's fun if you like shooting games with alot more bullets. So far, my best is only playing on normal modes, and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil is the only one I clear without using continues.

Actually, IOSYS' songs are remixes FROM the Touhou songs (Not sure if they got Original songs too), they dont play in any part of the games

Not really, it's one awesome game, and the fact that it has awesome music, just makes it more awesome. For instance, if you'd like the music from, say, Yoshi's Island a lot but hated everything else about the game, you're not gonna play it just for the music now would you?

the person who usually makes the official stuff for touhou is usually zun as well

i dont think any company actually owns touhou though but individual private parties make stuff for them =3

Technically speaking, IOSYS also remixed the base theme.

ZUN is the sole creator of the only official Touhou merchandise except for Immaterial and Missing Power and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, the only two canonical Touhou games that he worked with a larger group of programmers on.

Touhou is indeed independent of any company. Technically speaking it's a doujin game in the sense that ZUN isn't a professional, to my knowledge.

Doujin is basically, self published works by individuals. Basically, doujin products are independent and sometimes under what's called a sole proprietor ownership. So, for the most part, it is a profession to be doujin when you're the only one who has the copyrights and licenses on it.

It's more than that, but that's the most basic way to put it.

This song is seriously awesome. The main singer has a great voice, and ARM's harsh tones are kickass. (ARM is the guitarist, by the way) It really reminds me of the fact that I still can't beat Yukari without continues, lol.

If anyone is actually interested, I would recommend them to play the Touhou games. They're fun, challenging, and exciting, and the songs are so great that they get turned into awesome remixes like this one.
