Jeez. Show a trailer on how popular media has shaped public perception of what a Native person is "supposed" to be, and at least four people comment on how the music choice isn't Indian enough. Brilliant.
We saw this on PBS last night- FANTASTIC documentary film! We are going to buy this one. To answer a question asked here: Yes it is about Native Americans (mostly 'American' & Canadian Native Indians w/ maybe a touch Mexican)- yes it has Native music in it as well. Not only does this film show how Native Indians were/are (& for what reasons) looked upon - but also shows what influence we have all had over us - on many things. Important film. Laughed, cried and felt good to learn & connect.
@kluther09 wow can't believe no one commented in a whole year....The movie is about how Hollywood portrays Aboriginals, and the negative impacts it has on us from that portrayal. It really opens your eyes when you actually see the difference between the culture and how the actors,...act! in films. The whole film is about how false media affects the people actors are based on, which ties into the issue of Media as a whole, and what exactly are you choosing to believe
I guess that the because the song arouses a serene and content feeling, more or less, it was evident that it would compliment the initial statement, "we have something to offer to the world" and scenes of Native American culture still currently present. Native American music of some kind would've been fitting though.
wast'e! you know. this really inspires me, like to push my limits even further. into the sky. because the sky is the limit. ya know. for a struggling native american teenager trying to make it into the film industry is very difficult. but stuff like this really inspires me to keep pushing and not give up.
Just loved this movie! Really makes you think!

i was hoping to hear some more music relative to their culture. the film is about north american natives, right?
sorry if you took my comment as offensive. it wasn't meant to be.
