  • @Noodles37UK ...could be...but I think he looks more like Lee Marvin in Bad day at Black Rock...?

  • @McNabbulous

Not all of us! A precious few have an eclectic and well rounded taste in music.

As a 21 year old Englishman, I listen to Rock, classical, jazz, electronic, trance, drum and bass, ambient, funk...everything really.

Not horrible grime and rap though.

  • Get off valeroboss' ass, he was just making a note of the style which is very similar to most "cowboy" songs.

  • to valeroboss......What has this got to do with cowboys????? or America, come to that????? This song is by a British band originally and it talks of the wind blowing across the moors! We have moors here in England!! You don't in Texas!!

  • to valeroboss....what has this got to do with cowboys?? or America??? It is a British song..original by a British band also..and talks of wind blowing across the moors. We have moors in England!!! You don't have them inTexas.

Why do you Americans assume everything is about America???????

  • Wrekin crew

  • Was John Paul 2 - the Devil - spread Hell all over the World - my Neighbours are polish - dropping Eggs in and on my Windows, to make me move out ! The Owners are Germans, and don't like Neo and Psychobilly !!! Please save Daddy Frank !!!

  • on wich album is this song?

  • @WorlddestroyGuy Wreckin Crew

  • wreckin' crew

  • @WorlddestroyGuy You can get it on a compilation originally by DoJo, called The Curse of the Mutants. Most of it was from Wreckin Crew. Love to know what went on there cos it came out only 2 years later.

  • @WorlddestroyGuy The ALbum was

"Today the USA, Tomorrow the World"

    Horaay for Tea Party!!!

  • @WorlddestroyGuy It's on "Curse of the Mutants". Great album.

  • @APublicDomain

afaik it's on Wreckin Crew, which is even greater. Close to In Heaven. Which is indeed the best Psychobilly album ever!

  • @fistfuckanalorgasm Never a truer word spoken! In Heaven is an absolute classic, in any genre.

  • technically, Vaquero 's were introduced to North America when the Spanish stood in Northern Mexico, looked at each other questioningly and said, "?Vaca?" The Americanized cowboy that we are familiar with came about in the late 19th century during western expansion. Either way the song is fun to listen to.

  • おぉおぉおぉ♪♪♪

  • someone from germany trying to sing a cowboy song? LOL..LOL!! IM FROM HOUSTON TEXAS DONT MAKE ME CRY FROM LMAO! AMERICA IS WHERE THE REAL COWBOYS ARE!!

  • @valeroboss they british but they a live in germany now

  • @valeroboss they are british but they live in germany know

  • @valeroboss You aint met my local builder...........

  • @valeroboss

for sure, usa is full of cowboys, little boys who watch cows ..

    Heroic

  • @valeroboss They are English you stupid Yank Twat !

  • @valeroboss

i know you have been slated, but you really did ask for it with your poor comment.

as said before this has nothing to do with C&W or cowboys??? which by the way do not only exist in the USA. where ever europeans settled in the 16th c onwards, we exported cowboys, which was just another name for drovers, which we called them, and had existed for several thousand years in the rest of the world., how else do you think cattle were drove lond distances.

  • @valeroboss

C&W is a sub genre of european folk music. When european settlers arrived in the americas they brought with them their folk music which fused to become country music.

You have to realise the old world has been here for an awfull long time, and all that you culturaly have comes from the old world. You need to realise, nothing is knew, it is just re-packaged for a new generation.

  • Very Nice! ^_^

  • i remember this - it's good

  • i remember watching the meteors down the cyrpt in hastings about 1991, brilliant

  • OTMAPP!!!

  • the meteors only pure psychobilly

  • Gonna see them tonite ... for the first time, after knowing them since 1984, shame on me...

  • Wasn't that the cowboy image used on the Seditionaries 'cowboy' top? (half of it anyway).

  • Brilliant job!

  • Fantastic haunting cover,as for drumcollogher,s comment, man you areof the mark pal..Awesome cover.

  • love it

  • the best version, no doubt!!!!

  • Yes ill aaaaalllllwaaaaaayyys remembeeerrr

  • Quite a nice version! Only criticisms: its just too fast to be really appreciated more & I would have used the ride cymbal & snare during the break...unleash those galloping horses!

  • I am always happy when anybody covers a Geoff Goddard composition. Like the little whiplash sound effect as well as the guitar break.

  • Top tune.

  • @drumcollogher It's not shite! It's good,but I do prefer Johnny Leyton's version.

  • I know some of the people posting on this thread, and it's all funny, but Cunn16's is the best!

  • amazing song....

  • A lot one paced.

  • A bit one paced.

  • Shit... this make me think is the J.L. just a second...

  • turdbo 1964,,,,,so big deal if joe meek was gay ,,,,you even said he produced it,,,,did he fucking sing it as well.[.please engage brain before putting mouth into motion]

  • I heard the original version and it's really fucking good. But then again.... OTMaPP

  • dgenr 88, Joe Meek who produced Leyton's version WAS GAY which makes your comment an oxymoron and you, just a moron for your homophobic comment.

  • the women voices are better in the original but i thing this is a good cover

  • Enda låten ! De fick till. Tack vare John.

  • Joe Meek would be pissed as hell with this...he may have even shot someone because of this..

  • This pees all over the great original by John Leyton!

  • asome song

  • My problem is people like you compairing this pifle to the likes of the mighty RADIOACTIVE KID,STEP INTO THE DARKNESS and MY DADDY IS A VAMPIRE.Fenech killed everything The origenal M3t3ors stood for-including himself by recording this load of bollox, the reason for Psychobilly in the first place was to get away from this pussy music!!!! If you wernt there you wouldnt know.I Was and the fact Fenech kept the name instead of Nigel pisses me and every other origenal fan off!!!!

  • being a so-called 'original' doesn't make you better. chill out, I'm at least half your age and I know already: to each his own. if they like this song, let them cover it, geez. it's not something to go nuclear over.

  • And the fact that you are losing what brain cells you have left stressing over this just proves you need to CHILL. You care so much about it, write a damn article, instead of wasting your time on a Youtube faux-soapbox.

  • liking this. i love the beat under the singer.

  • I love this song.

  • OTMAPP!!!!

  • does it realy matter what the line up is FENECH/LEWIS was great but lewis left, FENECH kept it going, LONG LIVE THE -M3T3ORS

  • All this rivalry still going on after all these years lol ?

Things never change .... personaly i love this song and the meteors will stomp any other act in this genre

    they rule it

  • Fuck! Their version is the best! Fenech, youre brilliant, and asshole!

  • Thank heavens for Youtube. I havent heard this for ages. Wasn't this the b-side to wreckin crew? Good all the same.

  • Blinding reminds me of Redcar scooter Rally 85.

those that was there will know why.

    Tune.

  • John Leyton song, but fenech fuckin did a great job covering this song one of my top favorite songs from the meteors

  • Sorry, spelling error below. Wasn't wearing my glasses! I meant Monkey's Breath.

  • your an idiot

    Wreckin Crew is fuckin excellent

  • i certainly was very much there mate.

i mustve saw them live at least 6 times around that year and onwards also.

so lets allow people their opinion i say.

    cheers

  • Yes mate thats what i did, your the one who started the insults!!! And my say is this song is total SHIT!Just because its Fenech thats done it dosent mean its good! If say The Polecats had done a version this watered down you'd all be slaggin it off!!! The idea of Psychobilly in the first place was to replace this sugar coated shit that was coming out the Rockabilly scean in the early 80s.If your gonna do a cover do it like Nigels GET OFFA MY CLOUD not a shit 'girlie' cover version for Gods sake!

  • alright then,fair do's. i shouldnt have said that, but i

dont in fact need my ears syringed as you suggest, i just happen to like that album.

    each to their own mate

  • Comment removed

  • oi m8 get out ,dont waste your time comming here

    fuck off and die OTMAPP!

  • What's this argument all about? You mean Fenech wasn't the original vocalist?

What's the pre-83 Meteors stuff like? I have Wreckin Crew, and used to have Curse of the Mutants ( comp) and Momkey's Breath.

  • Bestbass42=penis

  • This song led me onto the Spaghetti Westerns.
