I love the animation and couldn't give a monkies what people think. It doesn't need to be improved, what makes it funny is how simple they are and what they do with the animations, I think some people demand too much and to be honest, if you arenn't satisfied with the animation, either become an animator and agree to do animation in future for them, or make your own show.

I think Nick done a fantastic job at animating the ricky gervais show he really did good for the former podcast. I always listened to these podcasts before they were televised and i was always sceptical in the fact that people would never fully understand the idea behind Ricky's and Steve's scrutenising of Karl but i think this is really awesome. I even know people who have never heard these guys together like the ricky gervais show. Well done all who was part of it :)

It's a great idea for a cartoon, I think Karl lends himself to animation a little easier than the other two because we haven't seen much of him on TV. I kind of like the Flintstones-esque look, though I think like a lot of people I was expecting something new and distinctive for the show's look. Funny stuff though, so I don't mind.

What the fuck happened to Joost Reijmers' animations for Monkey News - they were far more subtle, original and, more importantly, funny. Ricky was a big fan of them, and even went so far as to call Joost a genius - without hyperbole. These animations now seem to have been wiped from the internet, which is an absolute tragedy. Why Ricky went along with this instead of teaming up with Joost Reijmers I'll never know. Lost it?

i didnt know they had been wiped. what saddens me is this wasn't even Ricky's idea. Yes, its his product, but he has capitalised on Joost's idea and will make more millions, and Joost will get nothing.

The animation doesn't match the speaking. The cartoon Ricky is constantly smiling when he's talking, and it makes him look like a chat show host. The voice and the real Ricky is dead-pan, sarcastic, dry, etc. Eg see 2:54

oh excellent! I was really loving the way that the animation amplifies the spoken bits. really well done. I was wondering if it would be possible to purchase one of the background paintings... s-p-e-c-i-f-i-c-a-l-l-y the pile of flies with the condom... hahah really, I am interested.

the mouths are done well, the editing is spot on and fantastic — I admit that I also would be interested in seeing the scene IRL, but this is an awesome show.

I can't tell if I like it because I already know what they're going to say. The animation is ok, I don't care for the way they just threw in a few good bits but didn't tie them together. Knowing Karl is part of what makes him funny and I don't feel they're going about it quite right. They would have been better off just playing the xfm shows in order when Karl started.
