Airbus has put too much FBW into their planes. As for Boeing, even though the 777 and the 787 are FBW, they don't put in an idiotic "safety" computer that takes pilot authority away.
@blessedbrotha no boeing is coping airbus they are trying to get better technology than airbus. The 787 couldn't compete against the a380 and saa are changing their fleet to airbus caus boeing sucks.
@emirates761 Are you really comparing the A380 with the 787? The A380 entered service FOUR YEARS before the 787. The 787 is a mid-sized, the A380 is double decked. They don't compete on the same market, not even close.
@emirates761 That's not the point I was trying to make. I was saying that the A380 and the 787 compete on different markets. Boeing built the 787 to compete on the mid-size market with the A330 and replace older 767's. Airbus built the A380 to compete with larger jumbos especially the 747-400. That's why Boeing built the 747-8. Personally I prefer Boeing but I was just pointing out that the 787 and the A380 do not compete with each other, they serve for different purposes.
Some people just have an obsession to flop their mouths and shout "copied"
To determine if th plane is a copy you can judge looking at the nose design. The nose design of the 787 and the A350 are completely different. The window placemen in the nose section is very similar to the A380. If you look at the a350 and a380 you see 3 windows on the side. You see 1 window on the 787.After the windows the nose is slightly raised on the a350. On the 787 its continous.I can go on and on.
@darthgrillus96 i know. it was a joke, because all airbus have done here is take a 787, add 3% more carbon fiber composites and call it a new airplane. so it may aswell have been called an airbus 787.
I cannot understand how you arer not able to compare simple design features of a plane. YOu might aswell claim the A340 is a straight copy off the 707. The 787 has different wing dimensions. They sure have a similar wing design because they both strive for efficiency. There is no other possible way of making a more efficient wing. The a350 is also generally bigger than the 787. Its fuselage is generally more wider than the 787's. You should search picture comparisons.
@RainfulPhenix uum, not, because the a340 is nothing like the 707, however the a350 XWB, is almost identical to the 787... sure, it might have a different cockpit window... wow! :O
Different cockpit window& nose design, different fuselauge length, height and width (and this is evident when searching up a350 and 787 design comparisons) even different wngs (The tips of the a350's wings curve more than the 787) different landing gear. With those being different it cannot be "almost identical". The one thing they have in common is they are both from the next generation of aircraft & other next gen planes will have similar designs regardless for efficiency.
@RainfulPhenix There are plenty of "subtle" differences that some less capable people have problems in identifying. You gotta laugh at the ignorance of the Boeing fan brigade who clearly don't know how to use the internet. Funny how the A330 continues to take sales off the Delayliner, e.g China Eastern cancelled their complete order of 787s and are replacing them with A330-300s & 737NG's.
@BOACMach2 The A350 will probably also experience delays, as most new planes do. The A380 also was delayed, stop making that your big "Airbus is better" statement.
No, the XWB is a completely new design, wider than the A330 and made out of carbon fibre by a large degree. The original design was discarded in 2006.
@ararapoly oh wow i do love boeing dude and i bet you do to but face it this is way better than the 787 better fuel ,better styling, bigger and well nice

@Pvjinflight 777 copied the A320? What are you talking about? Anyone should know that the 777 is widebodied and long-range, and the A320 is a lot smaller!
If you mean the A330, the Triple 7 was a whole new idea, it's longer range, larger and more efficient. The A330 was meant to compete with the 767, the 777 was Boeing's new concept of a long-range jet. Airbus thought the A340 would win over the 777 because of ETOPS restrictions on twins, but the 777 ended up forcing the A340 out of production.
@rockymountainrandom Mmh I dont think that either manufacturer has copied anything from anyone, I am actually against all idiots who say that either manufacturer copies.
A330 has outsold 767 very well and still sells good.
@Pvjinflight Yes, it's true that the A330 outsold the 767...and the 777 outsold the A330. Just like the 767-200 was Boeing's response to the A300 (although newer 767 models like the -400ER are a lot more modern and longer range). It's just a continuous cycle of trying to outbuild the other...and oftentimes it works. But then the other company fires back with an even better plane, and so on. Now China and Russia are planning on getting bigger roles in the competition with new planes.
Let's give props to Airbus for finding the winglets or applying it to a plane for the first time (Let's give them the patent) and also thank to Boeing for not underestimating this new invention and also applying to their own planes.
Do they applied to their own planes. Let me put it this way. Volvo came up with seat belts for the first time and now every other car has it so that means every other car copies them? NO! Competition brings new ideas, inventions, etc and people learn from it and if it is beneficiary, they can apply to their own products. Well if you are so anal about it. This is what I am gonna say.
People, they don't necessarily copy each other. Let's say Airbus made the first winglets (Which are very crucial for a big plane like A380) that means they found something good for every other plane. Boeing probably researched what the heck was a winglet back than and saw that it helps fuel efficiency, no more wing cortex on the tips, etc etc.
Sheesh...At least Boeing has got the internal safety down pat. They don't focus one hundred percent on nothing but cost and cabin noise like Airbus does. I don't like the A350 whatsoever. o_o
VERY nice render! Looking forward to see this bird flying. I just like Airbus because of the flying characteristics and their nice cockpit concept. Boeing is okay though.
I just don't get people who say: 'If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going'. That's just nonsense.
Airbus copied almost everything from Boeing like the composite fuselage, flight deck, nose design, electronic dimmable window, LED light, winglet and billions more
@Piepsien No, the A300 did not originally come with winglets. Some were retrofitted, maybe 20 years later, but most A300s were phased out anyway so usually the A330 was the only Airbus twin with blended winglets.
American made aircrafts isnt safe. Only thing Americans care is money, not safety. 70% of all aircraft accidents are caused of American made planes. European planes are more safe, but they are more expensive and less popular in aircraft companies. Finn air buys these expensive planes and it can be seen on aircraft accident countings. Finn Air have never been on accident which have killed people.
@fachy1981 That is just racist and wrong. And if Americans have been building planes for...say, more than 100 years, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO BE PERFECT. If Airbus had been founded in 1916, they would learn the same things about aviation safety that Boeing had to learn the hard way. If you're just going to be rude and lie about other countries, give your theories to the wall or something.
It might not dawn on many people, but Airbus is trying to catch up with Boeing. The A340-600 the A380 are financial duds, not to mention the (EADS) A400.
boeing did not copy airbus . and airbus didnt even invent fly by wire technology it came out before airbus , they were just the first airplane company to use it in the a320
if airbus is copying boeing, howcome boeing used the 777 to copy fly by wire from a320?airbus is not copying, its just COMPETING.
why would airbus copy boeing when it is its rival?its life.
I think its kinda pointless to copy someone that already has something coming off the assembly line yah know? I mean the first one to get the aircraft off the assembly line wins. Airlines want the newest planes. Its like when xbox 360 came out first, the 360's selled like hell.
uhh dude its the public that convinced airbus to change the design. at first it looks like an a330...but some airlines persuaded them to restart the project. they came up with the XWB
@thaddy1016 - I can agree with you on that, but Airbus DID copy Boeing with the a380. Try doing some research on the MD-12. The concept was in the 90's and the a380 was in the 2000's.
@kozarac5 LOL. The design plans for the A380 came out in the early 90s just like the MD-12. The only similarities between the two aircraft is that they both have two full decks. Apart from that the A380 is a much more revolutionary design, thats why the MD-12 never left the drawing board. It's Boeing's fault that a great company like McDonnell Douglas doesn't exist anymore
@thaddy1016 Boeing did not copy airbus with the fly by wire system on the 777... they made their own better version.. and airbus are copying Boeing's amazing planes and making worse versions of them. My dad's a pilot for AA and has flown the 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and used to be a pilot for BA flying the 737, A319/A320, 747, 757, 777 and himself and alot of his colleagues prefer Boeings.
@hello1233280 why can't we watch any airbus video without those boeing trolls all over the comments ?
you like boeing ? go watch boeing videos and give us a break. you act like bitter jealous morons by insulting airbus industries, and no one here cares about your dad's life lol
@amherdoll Boeing trolls? Excuse me... who makes an obese version of the 747? And if you cant face comments from someone who knows more about planes than you do then don't bother replying. And actually i wasn't describing my dad's life, i was pointing out that he knows a lot more than idiots like you and he and all his colleagues know whether Boeing or Airbus is better. So I suggest you think before insulting other people or their families.
@amherdol Mate I was patriotic Brit, test pilot for her Majestys RAF + Airbus for 25 years. What do U know about flying? Crikey mate U fall in luv with a bloody German? When all was lost, Nazis occupied Europe + Germany had us by balls who liberated France? The Yanks, my Gramps wounded in Ardenne had best medical care in US Army Hospital. Gramps said kind Yanks fed starving French children + doctors gave them medical care. Thats why I became a proud American + Boeing airplanes R the best!
@LottoWinner999 Off topic. In Europe, France is the most involved and advanced in aeronautics in general and in Airbus in particular, the german industry doesn't really specialize in that matter yet. About family, my mum spent her entire career working in that industry and my grandpa was an engineer too and a captain in the french army during WW2. He's been jailed in Germany for over 4 years, starving indeed, they didn't feed him well. He ended up forgiving the Germans and I'm proud of him too.
@amherdoll France most advanced in aeronuatics? What a fucking joke + during WW2 the French Air Force + Army Motto was ""We Surrender First". U have become the Copy Cat of Boeing Aircraft. Ur planes are joke + U did not build a commerical airliner till 1975 + was a copy of Boeing. U had the Concorde half British built + desinged + did not make money.Air France A330 crash is French Cove Up. Half the RR engines on A380 R defective + have to be replaced. U Frogs R jokes + A380 is a White Elepahnt!
@amherdoll I trust you took no notice of the imbecile LottoLoser. He is deranged and detests anything or anyone who does not bow at the altar of Boeing and America. That's why he goes on and on and on and on .....An individual to be pitied but his puerile behaviour marks him as a laughing stock across the YT network. He normally trolls Airbus vids with his bile, but he is a liar and a fraud and knows a big zero about aviation. In other vids he says he was in Vietnam in the USAF (a gofar 4 sure)
@thaddy1016 GE said no to A350 cuz Boeing isCo-Partner with General Electric fuel efficient engines. Airbus really dug a grave for itself in the manner it conducts business + only 1 engine supplier is poor planning. Plus riding rough-shrod + threatning to put Boeing out business. As I said B4 USA is not am employment agency for Airfags. The new Boeing Tanker with new wing + GE Series of fuel efficient engine with less carbon emission is Boeings calling card + there R + 1000 order for B787'S!
nice trick looks good. this is the first video I see here on youtube where you can write the word fake in your comment without getting berated by the hole world
airbus got always the same cockpit in every aircraft... trust me, we would never copying something important like a cockpit, thats our own design. i dont speak about other things like winglets on other planes from airbus.
dude, modern jet passenger planes are probably on the market since 1958. Airbus was founded in 1970, so Boing have probably 12 years more experience, wow. And Airbus is only the combined brand name founded in 1970, before it was germanys Messerschmitt, Fokke, Dornier and french Aerospitale, so prettxy long experience here, remember Messerschmitt and the first jet planes in ww2?
i bet this design reduces the drag of the plane but i can imagine they dont use it today cause maintainance is probably not so easy compared to extern jets
Yeah, it was the main reason, the drag. The downsides was the increased weight with the armour around the engines (in case of an engine explosion). The design also had a higher risk of wing failure in case of an engine explosion or fire. But it was a very beautiful plane, and the Comet 1 with square windows was very coot, but very stupid in design.. Still, it was in the late 40's. We've come a long way since then, thank god! =)
Looks almost real very nice try, Company animation or Fs9/x with little bit of video editing. biggest killer was the speed, no way a plane will taxi that fast, especially a new test plane. Looking closely at the texture also give it away. Again very nice try.
Also its only good that Boing has to compete with Airbus it creates better products and more fair prices. If Airbus hadn't been there you would had a Microsoft in the skyes.
I was referring to the twin engine composite concept because airbus Said four engines are safer than two and because of statements such as are found here
Boeing 787 Dreamliner: Composite Airframe May Be Unsafe? « Airline ... - [ 翻译此页 ]24 Sep 2007 ... An Airbus spokesperson said last week that the decision was taken ... the first aircraft with a composite airframe, but the doubt will now ... From Airline world
this is on the flight global website. It is either January third or March first of 2006. I know I can't put it here, but I'll try to message you. I also see this article is early 2006 and the 350 production was announced at the end of 2005. I don't know if I'm write or wrong at this point, but I've ran out of time to do any more research.
First to put fly-by-wire control system in aircraft
Airbus - 1987 (A320)
Boeing - 1995 (777)
I could go on but I dont have the time for arrogant ididots like yourself. How you can claim the A350 is a piece of shit when IT HASNT EVEN BEEN MADE YET just shows what an idiot you are.
Why do u have such a big problem with airbus!! Its not as if theyve done something to u!!! Airbus and Boeing are both very good airliners and there are are no written facts to say which is better!!! Its just ur opinion at the end of the day and airbus wouldnt give to f**ks about ur opinion!!! No offence!!!
BTW if u knew anything about civil aircraft, ud now that Airbus look nothing like Boeing and u can tell them a mile off!!! The A350 is larger and will be more advanced, but is 3 years away!
Couldn't agree more m8. Some of the comments on here are laughable, childish remarks by people who's obviously limited aviation 'knowledge' probably comes from wikipedia. The way they extrapolate their info, LOL!
Thanks m8 lol!!! The bottom line is that all these comments are all POLITICAL (airbus is European and Boeing American)!! Everyone needs to grow up and get over the fact that Airbus and Boeing are equally advanced using 21st century technology and the A350 has its advantages and so does the 787, otherwise Airbus wouldn't be spending another 3 years on its design lol!!! Unfortunatley for boeing the A350 XWB will be the improved 787 but is 3 years behind!!!
I agree, I mean the Airbus A380 is newer than the 747 so its bound to be more advanced!! Itl continue for many years to come because its gona be so close to see who comes out on top! Personally I think itl be Airbus because boeing said the same thing!! ME i can't wait either for the A350, or the 787!!! When you have flown on both, then you can comment on which they prefer becasuase in truth not even boeing or Airbus know which is best lol!!!
Airbus has put too much FBW into their planes. As for Boeing, even though the 777 and the 787 are FBW, they don't put in an idiotic "safety" computer that takes pilot authority away.

Airbus thought the A340 would win over the 777 because of ETOPS restrictions on twins, but the 777 ended up forcing the A340 out of production.
rockymountainrandom 1 week ago
@rockymountainrandom Mmh I dont think that either manufacturer has copied anything from anyone, I am actually against all idiots who say that either manufacturer copies.
A330 has outsold 767 very well and still sells good.
Pvjinflight 1 week ago
@Pvjinflight Yes, it's true that the A330 outsold the 767...and the 777 outsold the A330. Just like the 767-200 was Boeing's response to the A300 (although newer 767 models like the -400ER are a lot more modern and longer range). It's just a continuous cycle of trying to outbuild the other...and oftentimes it works. But then the other company fires back with an even better plane, and so on. Now China and Russia are planning on getting bigger roles in the competition with new planes.
rockymountainrandom 1 week ago
@Pvjinflight For example, the Chinese Comac C1919 was launched in hopes to gain better shares in the competition between the A320 and 737 families.

Let's give props to Airbus for finding the winglets or applying it to a plane for the first time (Let's give them the patent) and also thank to Boeing for not underestimating this new invention and also applying to their own planes.
Peacefulhumanbeing 1 year ago
Do they applied to their own planes. Let me put it this way. Volvo came up with seat belts for the first time and now every other car has it so that means every other car copies them? NO! Competition brings new ideas, inventions, etc and people learn from it and if it is beneficiary, they can apply to their own products. Well if you are so anal about it. This is what I am gonna say.
Peacefulhumanbeing 1 year ago
People, they don't necessarily copy each other. Let's say Airbus made the first winglets (Which are very crucial for a big plane like A380) that means they found something good for every other plane. Boeing probably researched what the heck was a winglet back than and saw that it helps fuel efficiency, no more wing cortex on the tips, etc etc.
Peacefulhumanbeing 1 year ago
Sheesh...At least Boeing has got the internal safety down pat. They don't focus one hundred percent on nothing but cost and cabin noise like Airbus does. I don't like the A350 whatsoever. o_o
VIR092 1 year ago
VERY nice render! Looking forward to see this bird flying. I just like Airbus because of the flying characteristics and their nice cockpit concept. Boeing is okay though.
I just don't get people who say: 'If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going'. That's just nonsense.
Gyroglle 1 year ago
Airbus copied almost everything from Boeing like the composite fuselage, flight deck, nose design, electronic dimmable window, LED light, winglet and billions more
Jefford717 1 year ago
@Jefford717
The Airbus a300 was the first aircraft with winglets! Beoing copied that!
Piepsien 1 year ago
@Piepsien No, the A300 did not originally come with winglets. Some were retrofitted, maybe 20 years later, but most A300s were phased out anyway so usually the A330 was the only Airbus twin with blended winglets.
rockymountainrandom 1 week ago
@Jefford717 Is that really something to care about in today's world? This happens all the time. It's called market competition.
Gyroglle 1 year ago
American made aircrafts isnt safe. Only thing Americans care is money, not safety. 70% of all aircraft accidents are caused of American made planes. European planes are more safe, but they are more expensive and less popular in aircraft companies. Finn air buys these expensive planes and it can be seen on aircraft accident countings. Finn Air have never been on accident which have killed people.
fachy1981 1 year ago
@fachy1981 how about accidents caused by Hijackers? Thats not because of the plane, thats because of terrorists and sinister people

@Nat2370 Which´s the BEST Life Killing plane ever?: The Boeing 737= 5900 Casualties.
Which´s the FASTEST Life Killing plane ever?: The Boeing 737= 2,5 casualties per month.
There you have Boeing beating the competition...The Best and the Fastest all at ONCE.
To save ur life...just avoid the KILLER 737.
Guess who´s the FASTEST selling airplane ever...
fachy1981 1 year ago
@fachy1981 That is just racist and wrong. And if Americans have been building planes for...say, more than 100 years, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO BE PERFECT. If Airbus had been founded in 1916, they would learn the same things about aviation safety that Boeing had to learn the hard way. If you're just going to be rude and lie about other countries, give your theories to the wall or something.

I think its kinda pointless to copy someone that already has something coming off the assembly line yah know? I mean the first one to get the aircraft off the assembly line wins. Airlines want the newest planes. Its like when xbox 360 came out first, the 360's selled like hell.

@thaddy1016 Fly-by-wire is from BAC and Aerospatiale and was developed for and used in the Concorde. It is not Airbus technology.
zeroturbulence 1 year ago
@thaddy1016 - I can agree with you on that, but Airbus DID copy Boeing with the a380. Try doing some research on the MD-12. The concept was in the 90's and the a380 was in the 2000's.
kozarac5 1 year ago
@kozarac5 LOL. The design plans for the A380 came out in the early 90s just like the MD-12. The only similarities between the two aircraft is that they both have two full decks. Apart from that the A380 is a much more revolutionary design, thats why the MD-12 never left the drawing board. It's Boeing's fault that a great company like McDonnell Douglas doesn't exist anymore
aspiringdrummer17 1 year ago
@thaddy1016 Boeing did not copy airbus with the fly by wire system on the 777... they made their own better version.. and airbus are copying Boeing's amazing planes and making worse versions of them. My dad's a pilot for AA and has flown the 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and used to be a pilot for BA flying the 737, A319/A320, 747, 757, 777 and himself and alot of his colleagues prefer Boeings.

@amherdol Mate I was patriotic Brit, test pilot for her Majestys RAF + Airbus for 25 years. What do U know about flying? Crikey mate U fall in luv with a bloody German? LottoWinner999 11 months ago
He ended up forgiving the Germans and I'm proud of him too.

dude, modern jet passenger planes are probably on the market since 1958. Airbus was founded in 1970, so Boing have probably 12 years more experience, wow. And Airbus is only the combined brand name founded in 1970, before it was germanys Messerschmitt, Fokke, Dornier and french Aerospitale, so prettxy long experience here, remember Messerschmitt and the first jet planes in ww2?

the twinjets in the wings of that plane look kind of super modern :) very impressive for a 1949 plane
sharpanator 2 years ago
Yeah, i know, like an early modell of Concorde or something.. =) To bad the comet had a lot of flawes. Still... Very cool!
JonteKrok 2 years ago
i bet this design reduces the drag of the plane but i can imagine they dont use it today cause maintainance is probably not so easy compared to extern jets
sharpanator 2 years ago
Yeah, it was the main reason, the drag. The downsides was the increased weight with the armour around the engines (in case of an engine explosion). The design also had a higher risk of wing failure in case of an engine explosion or fire. But it was a very beautiful plane, and the Comet 1 with square windows was very coot, but very stupid in design.. Still, it was in the late 40's. We've come a long way since then, thank god! =)

Joonatanp99 2 years ago
Looks almost real very nice try, Company animation or Fs9/x with little bit of video editing. biggest killer was the speed, no way a plane will taxi that fast, especially a new test plane. Looking closely at the texture also give it away. Again very nice try.

The A350 is larger and will be more advanced, but is 3 years away!
prussell890 3 years ago
Couldn't agree more m8. Some of the comments on here are laughable, childish remarks by people who's obviously limited aviation 'knowledge' probably comes from wikipedia. The way they extrapolate their info, LOL!
bmk139 3 years ago
Thanks m8 lol!!! The bottom line is that all these comments are all POLITICAL (airbus is European and Boeing American)!! Everyone needs to grow up and get over the fact that Airbus and Boeing are equally advanced using 21st century technology and the A350 has its advantages and so does the 787, otherwise Airbus wouldn't be spending another 3 years on its design lol!!! Unfortunatley for boeing the A350 XWB will be the improved 787 but is 3 years behind!!!
prussell890 3 years ago
Yup, it's childish pointless bitching!
The A350 & 787 are both fantastic aircraft, both incredibly advanced and both companies are pushing technological boundaries.
The insult throwing was bad enough over the A380 vs 747, but its laughable that it's still continuing.
Cant wait for the A350 tho, it's gonna be worth the delay :-)
bmk139 3 years ago
I agree, I mean the Airbus A380 is newer than the 747 so its bound to be more advanced!! Itl continue for many years to come because its gona be so close to see who comes out on top! Personally I think itl be Airbus because boeing said the same thing!! ME i can't wait either for the A350, or the 787!!! When you have flown on both, then you can comment on which they prefer becasuase in truth not even boeing or Airbus know which is best lol!!!
