  • again great video clear and understandable. glad to know you trust this enoufh to use it on your own pc's but i do have the question of being able to uninstall it as in the reviews i have seen on cnet....i noticed your active on your channel so i hope you can answer this asap. thanks languy, your a good reason why youtube is awesome ;)

  • Hi Languy! I like your videoes but I have a question. I used exactly the same settings you use in this video and tried the that Comodo Leak Test. My result is 330/340, that ExplorerAsPattern is vulnerable. Do you know why? (I use CIS v5.4)

  • @deadboy427 ExplorerAsParent I meant

  • Hi. Did tried Comodo. Works fine first few days but thereafter, net connection seems quite slow. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

  • Yeah, I use Comodo on my pc as well, and it hasn't failed me once. It'll find trojans all over the place that I don't even know exist. I set all the settings on the firewall and defense+ to as protective as they get, (without it being annoying) And I always turn the heuristics to high, on manual scanning, scheduled scanning, and realtime scanning. I set the realtime protection to on-access, and nothing ever gets through unnoticed.

  • hello.

i have do the test one time before i shut down my pc and it says now only

    Impersonation: Coat Vulnerable

that is now the only thing what not working maby u now why this not working answer plz

  • hi. i have a question.

i have comodo the same as u have on ur real computer with the red logo.

i have do the same thing as u do in the tutorial but when i do a comodo leak test it say this:

    Impersonation: Coat Vulnerable

    Impersonation: ExplorerAsParent Vulnerable

that are the only Vulnerble thinks the rest are protected.

so what i can do can you help me? plz answer

  • I installed the firewall, to Avast, and I went from 20 to 280 with the same settings. Any idea how I could get up to 340?

  • Hey languy, do u now use version 5 for Comodo? I think so but i just want to confirm.

  • @utubeguy35 yes

  • @languy99 is the comodo leak test program safe????

  • Yeah i thiink Comodo free and OG does give 95-97% of security.....

  • hmm..

u just use CIS now for security??

  • i got 340/340 now, comodo is great but i would like to know what it is blocking

  • last 30 seconds was funny as hell :D

  • These settings you made in CIS 4 isn't necessary anymore?

  • @Matzevz nope.

  • @languy99 i got a question. I use to use Norton and i uninstall it but my window firewall still said that the norton firewall still protecting my computer so i use AVG i had to disable AVG firewall because you can't have 2 firewall running at the same time. so what do i do?

  • @leafvillage0001 two things, one use the norton uninstaller ( google it) and if needed you can reset the security center. ( google on how to do that also)

  • @languy99 could you do how to reset security center for win XP on one of your video? i'm having trouble finding the info

  • @leafvillage0001 just google "reset security center xp" and look at the first link

  • hi julian.thanks for this video.i did a comodo leak test on my comodo internet security and it couldnt get past 210/340.so i re-installed comodo using the default settings and it got a maximum 340/340.i was just wondering if my security suite needs to be checked regularly or does it maintain the 340 score?i havent changed any setings at all.thanks again and all the best to you.

  • @MrArnold1972 no it does not need to be checked, stock settings are best in my opinion, they are the best mixture of security and usability.

  • CIS, lol. horrible Av, excellent firewall.

  • @yewtubepl0x Not true. Antivirus is powrful. Try it out yourself BEFORE insulting it!

  • I have used it, but not recent version. so i could be wrong.

  • OK thanks for the response and keep up the amazing work you and the people at comodo do! its a really remarkable program ^.^

i watch your vids everyday lol so keep them coming :P.

  • so when i download CIS just leave it out of the box and what about the dns servers? what do they do besides according to comodo make web browsing faster? also (lol sorry) should i configure it like you did when u where showing the leak test and it got 340/340?

  • @MrEpixScene DNS servers also have some security features. Also in version 4.1 there is no need to do what I did anymore, it is now working properly. Though some people still get 330/340 but that will be taken care of soon.

  • where can I find the leak test for comodo?

  • @SeekHeart google seach = comodo leak test

  • Hey languy, what do you think about running avira with Comodo firewall?

  • Does CIS protect browsers against dangerous phishing websites and drive-by downloads?

  • Comment removed

  • Comodo Internet Security v4 seems awesome, especially firewall, because anti-virus isn't that great. What I changed in antivirus setting I set up heuristics to medium level. Also I use Microsoft Security Essentials and WinPatrol 10. They are work with CIS just fine and doesn't slow down my computer. I just added MSE and WinPatrol processes to excluded processes in Comodo and I did the other way in MSE.

  • Hitman Pro found a lot of temporary files, but If you would scan with Ccleaner before than Hitman Pro would found nothing, right?

  • @languy99 What antivirus/security suite do you recommend for a netbook? Thanks in advance.

  • @victorh2007 Netbooks are no different then a normal computer, they just are slower. Think of a netbook as a older laptop that looks nice. Kaspersky used to sell netbook security but have stopped when they realized it was a waste of time. I recommend any malware security system that is light on ram usage and light on cpu usage.

  • @languy99 In that case, according to your experience with computers, do you think would be a good choice install CIS in a netbook? Thanks in advance.

  • @victorh2007 CIS will work great on a netbook, I don't see any problems with you running it on one.

  • Please, I'd like to know your opinion: during CIS configuration what should I do: accept or not using comodo Secure DNS servers? Great review! Thanks in advance!

  • @victorh2007 As of yet I don't us them mostly because they can block malware sites. For what I do I can't have that but for normal users you can use it. If you want you can always change it back.

  • @languy99, I started using CIS and definied configuration at install for using Comodo Secure DNS servers. How can I change it back? Thanks in advance.

  • @victorh2007 pretty easy, control panel -> network -> adapters -> right click on your adapter and go to properties -> select tcp/ipv4 and select properties -> the just select obtain DNS server automatically, hit ok a few times and you are done.

  • @languy99 following your comments and advices I decided changing my security for CIS. Thanks for all!

  • Yes, latest updates, latest IE, Windows7 Ultimate.

There is only one thing in settings which is not as yours but I don't think it has anything to do with this, firewall is set to Custom, because I like to have full control over that. Just like you I had same number of popus and it runs sandboxed. I blocked every popup of course. I tried running it three or four times, same thing happens every time. I'm not sure what it can be, windows account is admin and UAC is disabled.

  • @gzenum I bet you have a rule created somewhere in D+, check all of the settings in D+ for a rule pertaining to CLT, don't forget to look in the advanced section.

  • @languy99 Please look at video reply and see for yourself.

Please note that I love Comodo very much and I use it on main computer as you can see. Even if I wanted to fake this or something like that I wouldn't know how to do it. I guess this test that fails has something to do with D+ , but can't tell what is it. In video reply I deleted CLT from pending files and Computer security policy in D+. btw If I edit rule in D+ , access right are on Ask and protection settings are at No.

  • @languy99 OK , it's the sandbox , if I disable sandbox then it's passed, zillion popups but everything pass. In settings for Sandbox everything is checked except Automatically detect installers. Huh, now I'm really confused :)

  • @gzenum check your rules in the firewall, make sure nothing is there. Also just for giggles try setting the firewall to safe mode and test again. Let me know if that works.

  • @languy99 I did that (removed everything for CLT from rules and set firewall to safe mode) and it's the same like before. Like I said in other reply, it's the sandbox thing (when disabled everything pass ,330/330). Interesting really, maybe it's some error with my OS (needs clean install) , or maybe I have to reinstall CIS, I'm not sure.

I'll let you know if I find solution.

    tnx man!

  • @gzenum I would reinstall CIS, first download revo uninstaller and use it set to moderate to uninstall CIS, making to to let revo clean out old registry and files before restarting. So when CIS asks you to restart say no, finish with revo the restart. Then try installing again, and changing only the settings I have changed on mine.

  • @languy99 Actually what I did just now was to install it on clean VM snapshot with nothing installed after setup except all OS updates (Win7 Ultimate). That way I can eliminate corrupt OS or conflict with other software. So setup was default except Comodo DNS which I selected. After reboot I did update, config change to proactive, stealth port wizard and uncheck sandbox auto-detect installers. Then I run CLT and same thing happened, it failed on same test (IE opened). I'll continue on next msg..

  • @languy99 ...I really don't know what is going on now, only thing may be DNS servers (I have them in main OS too), but I don't see what that has anything to do with that test. I saw in your video that it's working, so that's mistery to me. Anyhow, it's not a big thing for me, what I did now was to disable Sandbox (I don't think I need it anyway) and for D+ settings I checked 'Create rules for safe applications' . Fine by me :)

  • Same config as yours and only one test failed : number 24- Impersonation : DDE

That's the one when Internet Explorer opens.

I guess that's maybe because my UAC is disabled and your's not.

  • @gzenum I have UAC disabled on my computer at home and I don't fail anything. Do you have all of your windows updates and the newest version of IE?

  • What is better:

    Comodo internet security or

Avira Premium + ThreatFire + PC Tools Firewall plus ?

  • @stojalo1 well personally I would take CIS over that combo only because I have gotten things past avira and threatfire and the HIPS in PC tools is not strong enough to protect you. In the latest matousec hips test CIS got 100% and pv tools only got 51%. But in the end it is your decision and what you feel comfortable with.

  • ask a stupid question :P

how do I put program out of sandbox, did I need go check settings?

  • @341464 there are two ways to get a program out, one by going to pending files in D+ and moving to my safe files or when you get the sandbox popup hitting more options and clicking the do not run in sandbox option.

  • Thanks for the vid i've used Comodo for over a year now. My setup these days is CIS 4.0 & Geswall, abit overkill i know :D

  • @languy99 A quick question - Can malware running in a sandbox steal data from the host or intercept keystrokes?

  • @rangsar From what I know it can't do anything. All it can do is drop files or run in memory until restart.

  • @languy99 Thanks for the help, appreciate it.

  • Hey I have a 7yr old laptop 1.7Ghz 2GB Ram laptop running Win7. I had problems with KIS2010 due to high cpu usage. Can you suggest a AV/firewall setup with low CPU usage paid or free? I dont care about memory usage.

  • @rangsar try NIS 2010, CIS v4, online armour ++ ( if youa re more technical)

  • @languy99 I actually tried both CIS 4 and Online armour...both had high cpu on the default install. I'll give NIS2010 a shot.

  • oh and can u please please explain to me what tge Comodo LeakTest is i got completely lost on that part of the video. Thanks

  • @TheShadowkiddx What it does is test to see if the security solution you have can block certain actions or at least let you know about it so you can block them. Such things include, screen capture, redirects, injecting processes into another and so on.

  • @languy99 oh ok thanks man so is Comodo Internet Security absolutely free?

  • @TheShadowkiddx yup totally free, they also offer paid versions that add live support, online storage, and public wireless security ( VPN).

  • @TheShadowkiddx ok thanks man this was really helpful. this is such a great Security with Anti-Virus and its absolutely free it can't get any better. Once again Thanks i love your Reviews!

  • Thank you again for a great review! This is very helpful!! Take care ^-^

  • yeah can you go over comodo internet security's settings on how to allow ports when your using an online game because that confuses me when i can't allow the ports from my game because of comodo blocking them.

  • hey man can u please do a review on Comodo Internet Security and show a little bit how to use it. i have Norton Internet Security but might subscription will soon run out. Thanks i love your Videos

  • @TheShadowkiddx What would you like me to cover?

  • @languy99 well when i was watching the review i kind of didnt know what the Sandbox was and what it did. oh and thanks for replying. is Comodo Internet Security completely free?

  • Good job !

  • Where did you get that leak test thingy

  • @unknowdude123 From the comodo forums, you can test a ton of different programs and mess with their settings to make them as secure as you want. It is basically a HIPS test.

  • Thanks man, love your vids, I hope someday you become partner with YT and stop worrying for the time.

Also, I have a suscription to anoter AV, but I like comodo internet security, do you think it is a good combination Comodo without AV plus another AV?

  • @caegr Depends on the AV. If it is just a pure AV, then yeah you can but if it incorporates to many different modules you can get program overlaps and can give you problems along with slow system performance.

  • @languy99 thanks!!

  • Thanks for this.

  • thank you for another great video.Hope that you soon get longer play-time

  • You could record more then 10:00. You can upload up to 11:00 only

  • THANKS
