It's funny how the lyrics from this song still apply to our world today. The world is just as screwed up now as it was twenty-two years ago. Awesome song!
It was at a place called The Chanel and I remember the fence fell down during like the third song and al said "your crazy mother fuckers you pulled our fence down".

False, AL is from Cuba and hates communism or any leftwing assholes just as he does the right wing. Furthermore I don't think he is racist or anything but he was in an interview recently saying that he thought swedish nationalists were cool. That's on youtube.

fucking vicious, intense lyrics: Breathe! Corporate causes with self-served denial The raping of the land Collapse The lungs malfunction They never learned to breathe Breathe! Rusted syringes and half-thought disposal A burial at sea Waste water graveyard Swimming in disease
The real deal. Al's more important to music than anyone wants to admit.

Obama has just been elected and allready he has the russians breathing down his throat. The usa and russia, plus all the other countries are controlled by the same bank, right now they obviously want to create a economic boost with a massive war. If McCain was elected, the russians would not have to push him into it. The Russian leadership under control of the bank and all several others are about to enter into the strangest economy boosting cold war ever. This is the world, it`s not working.

im only 17 and im into a lot of "now music", but i stumbled upon this, i usually dont like old stuff, but this is great. this is a really intense song.
I have watched this so many times and it is still as new and fresh as it was back when it first came out. My cassette tape copy is just about to wear out. The song is a masterpiece. Also, I can't remember his name but the guy playing guitar to Al's left (our right) is just delectable....Hot, hot, hot..
this was a great album, when i first bought it, it was on vinyl annoying the neighbours. great tour, lost a tooth and cracked another. oh, the fun times.
that hat... well its ummm interesting to say the least :D all kidding aside, the band sounds really great. i only wish they had stayed this creative throughout their career [no offence, but the thrash stuff near the end never did anything for me...] Atkins and Rieflin sound amazing and their precision is astonishing.
I first saw these guys for this tour 90 in SF at the Warfield and I was in for a total shock, I couldn't believe that this was the same band that put out with sympathy. I was expecting ummm bopy bop bop, then the curtain went up and I knew I was in for it when I saw the chain linked fence and the fire breathers!!! Best damn show ever, I lost a shoe my shirt, all the pockets out of my pants and a slight noes bleed. My world was forever changed for the better!!
This is why Al could have retired in '91 and it would have been just fine. There's no way they could top this tour. Al. Paul. Ogre. Jello. Bill Rieflin and Martin Atkins. Fucking brilliant. I got my ass kicked at this show. We warned the security guards it was gonna be a rough show but they laughed at us...until after the show, of course. The first 4 rows of seats were torn out from the floor and thrown aside.
skrason: I went to the see them at a Lollapalooza about a million years ago - which was at the Gorge at George(Washington)and it was an outside show. They made the ground shake...Not only that, they opened for the Chili Peppers and after they finished people started leaving....It would have been hard to top Ministry. The Chili Peppers sounded like a Disney tune after.. It was pure magic!
For the 'Breathe' intro one musician would hold a used pull-string child's baby-toy up to the mic and would pull the string rhythmically over and over to recreate the baby cry-sample while several violinists would provide the lilting back-beat.
This is the greatest live video and the best intro, ever. I can't believe it's almost 20 years old.
When this was released, MTVs 'Unplugged' series was in full swing. I wondered then in a sarcastic way how Ministry would look 'Unplugged.'
Here's the idea: 'Ministry Unplugged' - recreate the entire "In Case..." video, note for note but without amplifiers, vocorders, sampling assists, microphones only.

Great song and performance! "Pretty Hate Machine" from NIN was about this same time with "Tyranny" from Front 242 right on their heels. Great time for Industrial Rock!! I miss it!! :(
Pretty much what er0g and The B3e said. Listen to NWO on the "plsam 69 album". A greater blend of heaviness/beat/intellect i have yet to hear. That is just one example - "just one fix", "scarecrow", "so what", "burning inside" are great songs from a great band. Best band ever imo
i always wondered why this song and land of rape and honey are not on the cd wish they were i have this on vhs this song is first and rape and honey they played last .met al in orlando @house of blues show in april it rocked
I saw this tour live with KMFDM opening for them at 'The Warfield' in San Francisco. This video is pretty true to how it went down. Warfield show was bigger though. Great show.
There's a theory going around that the real reason we invaded Iraq was to have a strategic position to deal with Iran and their burgeoning strength as a nuclear power and Syria to a lesser extent. WMD's was just an excuse to get in there before things got too hot. Any thoughts?
Very probable, but in the end, money, not weapons rule the world.
If you have the time look this up. Another reason that I've heard of may be that Saddam was attempting to trade his oil in a the Euro rather than the American Dollar. Simply doing this would devalue and destabilize the American dollar beyond repair. (The American Dollar used to be backed, or insured by our gold in FT Knox etc. They unchained the dollar from gold in the...
You're a potatohead. The only reason to trade oil in Euros would be to get better value for their product because it is currently stronger than the dollar. Why would Saddam have done so when the dollar was stronger than the Euro? That wouldn't make any sense.
Gold is no longer the currency of the world, oil is. Oil is money. Therefore the US cannot afford to have oil traded in the euro. Iran has been trying to start trading it's oil in the euro as well, hence our desperateness to invade them and stop that from happening.
It's NEVER about what is on the "news". Wake up.
Do your homework you-tube kiddies. Ministry would approve.
Didn't Barack mention something about invading Iran? Or Syria? Or wherever? And I see you're the only person to see through the lies and have the real information about what's going on. You're obviously the last bastion of hope for us, so please keep up your diharrea of the mouth.
The information about WMD was either outdated, incorrect, or fabricated. Saddam did indeed gas the Kurds, so he had them at one point. Either way, it was an excuse for GB to finish what his father failed to do. Had we gone into Iraq and deposed Saddam after forcing them from Kuwait, we would've been international heroes. Instead, we strafed the shit out of the retreating forces and assumed they'd learned their lesson, which wasn't good enough for GB jr.
Wow, Ministry fans are some of the smartest people in the world! To realize that the Republicans and Democrats are the same party and that there is no difference between the two is amazing. Pick your poison: Hemlock or Arsenic. Wait... I mean Republican or Democrat!!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad they did not play this last night in Philly. The show pretty much was very lame in my opinion. I could have gotten there an hour into the show and not missed what I went there to see. They only played 4 songs from Mind or Psalm 69 and did not even bother to play Stigmata...
I was at the AMITTT concert, LRH and the 2007 tour. There's something about being at a Ministry concert that gets you a badge of honor that you just don't get anywhere else.
holy shit I didnt know they have two drumers no wonder Y thats were they get their fast druming beats in their music thats pretty fucking cool I been likeing their fucked up music since 87 but love it you just dont hear this music anymore in peoples cars I have a 2500 watts in my car and I jam out to this and AC DC,Nine Inch Nails.KMFDM,Pantera,Prong,White Zombie.Megadeth and love the look on peoples faces their like what the fuck is that LOL
18 years later and this shit still kicks ass and makes the hair on my arms stand. I was listening to this while half the fags in high school were listening to BOYS II MEN, NEW KIDS on THE BLOCK of course no one would ever admit it now.

I saw this tour in Milwaukee Dec '89! Man, Al was at the TOP of his game back then!

it's been almost 20 years since i first heard this and the intro is still the coolest use of 2 drummers i've ever heard.

There's a theory going around that the real reason we invaded Iraq was to have a strategic position to deal with Iran and their burgeoning strength as a nuclear power and Syria to a lesser extent. WMD's was just an excuse to get in there before things got too hot. Any thoughts?

Sounds right to me. It would have been a good move if things had worked out.

(cont)...50's ? (check that).)

That drum intro was friggin insane! Is it just me or does that drummer with the striped shirt look like the lawnmower man?

Wow, Ministry fans are some of the smartest people in the world! To realize that the Republicans and Democrats are the same party and that there is no difference between the two is amazing. Pick your poison: Hemlock or Arsenic. Wait... I mean Republican or Democrat!!!!!!!!!!!

The world is insane...
