I remember the first time I saw them live. Shit, that must have been in about 1996 or so. Soon after my band opened up for them on a few occasions. There was a pretty good bill once with them with us opening for Shai Hulud, Shai Hulud opening for Strongarm, and Strongarm opening for Snapcase. That was a great fucking show. The crowd went berzerk. Great memories. I miss those days.
Back in the 90s we had real Metalcore bands like Strongarm, ZAO (first 2 albums), Overcome, Shai Hulud etc. Now we have boring bands ripping off european bands like In Flames, At The Gates etc.
I'm fine with bands ripping off old In Flames and At The Gates. Might as well rip off shit that's good. It sucks when they just make half-ass at the gates riffs and throw in a buncha breakdowns and shit.
yes, because these guys went forward in time, listened to shitty music, went back in time and recorded this....and i doubt these guys listen to shitty metal, they were more influenced by hardcore
Man, I just bought this song on iTunes and it sounds a bit faster and crappier than this. I like this version so much more, darn it! Good stuff, though. Old school hardcore metal. :)
