Actually, if you watch carefully, the guy getting punched fired his sniper rifle at the last second. You can see the flash just behind the guy with armor lock. Therefore the sniper bullet bounced off the armor lock and impaled in the guys head.

@MBChilladin Actually, it's just game play mechanic, talking 'cannon', a spartans muscle, plus the strength amplification of the MJONIR armour, means they can swim in water. Another thing is that they can seeming the jump over an elite (All are somewhere from 7'5 to 8'5, ussually around 8') head, and swimming is much easier than jumping 8 foot high
